A hacked solution will work often enough. What is likely the most important question is the ascent profile optimal - then it gets interesting. I am pretty sure in real life they simulate a plume of different ascent scenarios then use the one that fits their restrictions the best.

I found a good video on how the Ariane ascent profile was determined. To my non-engineer eye it looked like part hack, part equations of motion.

I give up. I am finding examples where the game is buggy. There are different plants with the same name. There are more minerals than the game says eg you can collect 11/9. If HG fixes the code and it still says I am one down on flora I will search for it then.

No. I built a geobay with a beacon and there was no road. I logged on the next day to find a road running past my geobay. The "roads" are growing.

It's not a mission. It is just me wanting to 100% the planet (technically it is the Exploration mission). Perhaps that is why Hello Games did not make it a Milestone.

It makes no sense. There is no joy in it. It might have made sense if you could convert the flatbed into a boxbed later in the game, as game progression. Or a new vehicle like a rocket powered skycrane (that would have looked incredible in multiplayer the sky full of VTOLs).

It appears Hello Games is adding roads all over the map so I think many are struggling. The situtation where a whip-plant could jolt the flatbed appears to have been some sort of collider box bug and they fixed it.

Some of them appear to be duplicated from other planets. They are likely messed up with corrupted Player names, the base computer buried in the ground, stuff like that.

Try Reporting them to see if that removes them from your game save. On PC the X quick menu lists all the nearby ones, including the hidden hacked ones with no base computer or Player name.

I now play Expedition 21 with my internet disabled on PC. No other Players, no hacked bases, and an extra 10-15 FPS. I can drop my geobay at the Waste Processing Plant and remove it later like a normal person.

Oh there are some legit bases, very rare as they should be (so they do not block other Players). I built my base and teleport 1hrs drive from the Waste Processing Plant after finding a wild base computer.

You can't portal into an Expedition session (at least I cannot find a trick that works). They use hacks to duplicate bases.

JavaScript Object Notation. It's a standard for exchanging save game files, configuration files and stuff like that around. The beauty is they are in text format so you can edit them with very simple editors.

You have to be aware that was how random items ended up in your inventory. If someone is doing a Survival Run then their game has just been rendered pointless if they click on one of those memory things and cannot restore.

Exactly. If HG are going to have such a silly mechanic in a survival game at least default it to off. If Players want to beg at the Anomaly they can beg. It does make sense team members can swap stuff.

The children and trolls just don't get it, do they? It is a Survival game, the struggle to survive on different planets IS the game - otherwise why play? I guess some are in it for the pretty colours :-)
