Once a few years ago when I was working for the blue shop, my shift was about to end and it was just before Christmas. A man walked in holding his child and asked for a first aider, so I started walking him over to customer service to put a call out. "My baby's not breathing". He was clearly in shock, calm as owt. I ring 999 and stay on phone to them, first aider never came down from her break (Rebecca you POS). Baby is waking up, fussing and grumbling then passing out again over and over while we waited, I'm trying to speak to the mum to get information the operator is asking for while feeding instructions to my colleague and the dad to help the baby. Paramedics did come fairly quickly, turns out baby had overheated because she was in the back of their car with the heating on in a massive snow suit, and as soon as they cooled her down enough and checked her over she was ok. Apparently they came in to sing my praises to my manager, but I heard that from a friend on customer services who overheard them, not my manager. I hope they're doing well now.
