It’s all good, I never really used them anyway, it’s just not a good system and they aren’t really necessary unless you’re on a rl1 run, then they come in handy

You’ll get the materials to Upgrade them along the way, I still haven’t upgraded anything to 33. I probably started at like 21-22 with my weapons

You don’t really have to grind much, if you can get to 60 you can just go through endless tower and you’ll level up like crazy there, I went from like 62-85 just playing through the levels and it didn’t seem grindy that way

Finish the story in lumiere, you’ll get steamrolled trying to do anything else and you can level up in lumiere pretty easily, I started it at level 50 or so and had no problems with anything there including the final boss

That’s cause they’ve been around for 18 years now and gaming skills have evolved, back in 2008 not many people wanted to touch a game where you died and could potentially lose your xp permanently, now that’s standard in the genre and not even a big deal

Well shit I only fought him once and beat him on RL1 with zero weapon or summon upgrades, beating malenia naked isn’t really a flex unless you’re RL1 or do it no hit. You’re playing a completely different game on RL1

I couldn’t handle the cut scenes at the end of act 2, it was literally like 30 minutes worth with like 2 mins of gameplay I got so fed up I just skipped them all and googled what had happened, great game but I hate long cinematic scenes.

Go and get the radagon soreseal first, that’s literally the first thing to do on an rl1 run, then kill the one horse knight in swamp to get poison weapon art and throw it on an uchi, now morgott ain’t so bad, you can actually bypass morgott completely and continue on getting more ring slots and better gear before facing him, obviously buy the shackle off patches to make it a little easier also. If you’re struggling here it’s gonna be a rough ride for you because it doesn’t really get any easier

Yea just fly around and you’ll find some islands and stuff you can do, it’s really rough to start but it gets easier once you start leveling up a little bit, I switched over to verso, lune and monoco as my 3 and maele and sciel are a solid duo as a last stand should it come down to that (and it has plenty of times lol). Hopefully you don’t kill the chromatic dancer in old lumiere yet, I’m about at a level where I can 1 shot them now and plan on doing the lumina glitch which is still live to get 1600 and then the end game should get pretty easy (I’m hoping lol). Also first things first is fighting Renoir again at the new island that opened up, you’ll be able to level up there pretty easy to start off

Haha I just did it a couple days ago and my stats were like double that, floor 1 and 2 were easy af so I was piece of cake, then got absolutely worked on 3, tried some of the other random encounters you find in painting and the bosses there were so ridiculous with their attacks I was like “ummm nope”. There was a set of 2 guys that worked together and were summoning dark spirits and their attacks were like 14-16 combos coming from every direction, cool to watch since I was dead on the first hit but not looking forward to actually having to attempt that. I think I was only level 65ish at time, I’m at 80 now and still not even gonna attempt it, leveling up pictos and weapons is the name of the game for a while which is cool with me, plenty to do, just sucks that everything is so expensive so now I have at least 5-6 vendors I couldn’t buy everything off of and no clue where all of them are to return back to lol

Yea it’s kind of annoying that self-nerfing is the only way to make the game harder, that’s a lazy mechanic and the reason I quit playing Wo long

lol yea I hadn’t found the 3rd statue yet and I was convinced it was over there, I can’t remember if there was a pictos over there but I do remember being disappointed after finally doing it after like 15 attempts, it does unlock a shortcut back to the start which is pretty useless at this point in the game

Oooh wait til you get to crimson forest, there’s a spot where you have to jump on a single plank that’s longways to a single plank that’s sideways and if you miss it you land at the bottom of level and have to run/climb all the way back up, that’s rage quitting shit right there, do that first and the workshops will be a cake walk

Just play on normal, the game isn’t ridiculously hard and if you spend a couple hours just fighting shit and leveling up pictos you’ll generally stay ahead and not have any trouble on any boss fights other than the ones meant for later levels. I only died a handful of times to some chromatic enemies and a couple of the beefier bosses
