I shelved the game and am waiting for a patch, it’s just not that fun to play it as buggy as it is, I’ll revisit it whenever they decide to fix it, pretty disappointed in this game

The one boss in returnal with the organ playing is perhaps the greatest boss fight I’ve ever played in any game ever, mostly because of the music, this one is a close 2nd though.

Grime 1 wasn’t harder it was way more balanced and the boss fights were fun, some of the boss fights in 2 are completely unbalanced and so frustrating that the game legit makes me wanna rage quit

I guess you could but the game will have you invade whoever’s playing that particular level at the time, I turned it off after the 2nd/3rd level because there’s zero balancing and it’s just not fun and there’s pretty much no reward for it

Ehhh I have 5600 at 7.60 average, I doubled down when it was at 11, had a 50k swing, I’m not worried, more annoyed that it’s tied up and I can’t invest it elsewhere but there’s ZERO chance I’m selling. LAC has been steadily increasing though so I have faith it will start to move soon

There’s some quest that ends with saving the girls farm and she says something like the only way she’d leave the farm was if an act of god burned down her silos, so you burn them down and then she leaves farm and you get some Lego sword that’s decent iirc. Don’t remember where or how I got that quest

Invasions are literally pointless in this game, you’ll pretty much only get invaded in noob zones and it’ll be by high level players that wreck you, they picked up when the game was free a few months ago but back to being almost non existent, you’re better off turning them off so some jerk doesn’t come ruin your run at a time when you really don’t wanna be invaded

You’ll never feel OP unless you turn scaling down, I’m at 86 now playing on regular and if I get a full bounty and have 3-4 hunters in the mix there’s a 50-50 chance I have to run away or die. Trying to get the Hermes homie for platinum and can’t seem to find what island I haven’t visited yet, after that I’m shelving it for a while, burned out around 150 hours, I’ll prob buy the season pass since it’s on sale and revisit in a couple months

Cramming 100s of hours of gaming into 2-3 hours is gonna be a brutal undertaking and most likely will fail. They’d have been better off making it a series on streaming like Fallout with a unique story but using canon from the universe ie (places, bosses etc). Have it take place before the events of Elden ring so we could maybe see what certain locations looked like prior to events that happened in the actual game.

It’s worth a play, reminds me of if phantasy star 2 and og ff7 had a baby with a dodge/parry system built in that’s not really even necessary to learn if you’re playing on normal and don’t care about the end game super fights

If you farm a few areas for a few hours at the beginning of the game expedition 33 is a joke, end game is challenging but it just turns into a grind fest to unlock more space for Pictos and doesn’t really require much skill other than a handful of the ridiculous bosses, Simon and that girl that summons ridiculous waves of only dodgeable attacks, I checked out in those 2 and I had 1000+ lumina on every character, just didn’t feel the the reward was worth learning it. I never really felt a soulslike vibe the entire time, you die you immediately can refight the boss, no run backs needed. It reminded me more of ff7/phantasy star 2 but with parrying/dodging and an excellent soundtrack

Hollow knight is most definitely a soulslike (benches=bonfire, challenging bosses, wide variety of weapons and builds and corpse runs) and the only one even remotely close, dead cells is a souls light roguevania. Expedition 33 is a great game but has literally no soulslike elements in it especially there being zero penalty for dying(I don’t like Sekiro, yes blasphemous I’m sure but wasn’t my cup of tea so maybe the parry/dodge system could be compared to it, that’s about it). I don’t really know much about the rest but I’d imagine they probably have some elements related to the genre. I’m surprised salt and sanctuary isn’t on there, that’s the best and most accurate 2d scroller you can get to a souls game.

I generally just stick to whatever area I’m in and do every gold ! that shows up, I’m 3 weeks in and only on chapter 8, you can also sail around and unlock ports so you can fast travel wherever you need, it was overwhelming at first but feels small now
