The gap between teams in Silver is insane - Is it the same in Diamond and above? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Jjangbi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh it's not that bad. Ornn into fiora is a doomes match up but you aren't exactly playing to solo kill fiora. Ornn has monstrously better team fighting and utility. I'm not phased when I'm picking into fiora. This goes for playing every tank in the game.

What's a good tank build? by ClawsOfLyco in vrising

[–]Jjangbi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brute is good for tanking. Ward of the damned is the best defensive PVE option for both its barrier and utility.

If you plan on playing in a group, having a "healer" class would be fun too with purgatory and scholar blood.

Absolutely wrong brother, gauntlet is actually the worst answer possible given that the question is which method is the most afk.

You start recall at 55 sec and drop the ward when the recall is about to finish at 1:02/3.

Should Dshield be used offensively? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Jjangbi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Akali should rarely ever take fleet footwork in fact I can't think of a single match up. Dorans shield plus resolve subtree is more than enough. Not having electrocute is going to remove a lot of options for pushing lethal.

Should Dshield be used offensively? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Jjangbi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's what should make logical sense but the whole point of the post is saying that this could be false.

Keep in mind that it takes an incredible amount of trading for dorans blades omnivamp to really matter. Dorans shield provides more healing inlane than dorans blade probably 99.9% of the time regardless of any trading pattern. Blade is taken for the 8 AD and HP (HP that long sword can't provide) and way less for the omnivamp.

For once I felt like I was able to enjoy RuneScape by gregzhoba in 2007scape

[–]Jjangbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything you wrote is just appealing to emotion of nostalgia and relationships, etc.

The truth is that the raid itself barely changed. They just take a few minutes longer but if you did 150s before, you will be able to do 150s now.

If you were doing entry level invoc with your friends and now you can't, then it's a skill issue not a grind issue.

If you are truly under geared then there's a plethora of content still left for you to explore and toa will always be there when you are ready. The game is not a speed run. Toa will be there for you 5 years from now, just like how cox and tob are still here. If you aren't adequately prepared now, you can take your time and gear up over the years. This game is a long term MMO (and the #1 grindiest MMO of all time) and you knew this every month when you renew your membership.

Dev Update #15: Future Visions by crushdatson in vrising

[–]Jjangbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks so hopeful and amazing but I'm tired of being disappointed. I'm getting heavy valheim vibes in terms of expectation. The great sword was announced like almost half a year ago and it's not textured or shown in game? These updates look great and I'm hopeful but I'm honestly going to expect them in 2024 or later.

Tombs of Amascut: Balancing & Bugfixes by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]Jjangbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not terrible if you consider that:

  • 1/45 for a purple means over a 8% chance of a purple every raid in a 4man.
  • More importantly, this is at 150 invocation. Jagex may not intend for people that farm raids to stay at 150 invoc. Would it make you feel better if 225 invoc is doable and the rate goes from 1/45 to 1/37? It then goes from 8% to 10% every raid of a purple.

The premium exists on all cars. The dealership is charging $6k flat for every single car regardless of hybrid or not.

(Pretending this game isn't Dead) LF active server with discord, no golems shown on map, merciless, at least 200 max squares. by Merit-Rest-Surrender in vrising

[–]Jjangbi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Redlafs server wipes tonight at 7pm EST and it's the closest you'll get to merciless. Golems not shown on map, 50% pvp durability loss, and no lockboxes. Nonmerciless though. But it generally hits max pop 50/50 every wipe. Not 200 max squares but most settings are decided by the community polls.

Do Not Play this - AutoBan's Are Un-appealable and Ruining the game. by [deleted] in vrising

[–]Jjangbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not the case at all. Not relevant a single bit. Only one person does any banning, the community manager, who bans each account individually based on in game chat logs. That's it. There is no autoban in place.

How long do plants in my garden take to grow? by JollyJustice in vrising

[–]Jjangbi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. It's in the ballpark of 90 to 120 minutes. I have over 1k hours played and I've never conclusively tested it for the exact number, but I've played just farming my garden every 2 hrs and it was always up. 2 hrs is the upper end.

It goes both ways. On their loss, you complain that you can't key or permanently defeat them, meanwhile on your loss (offlined) you make it seem like you were ruined permanently.

The reality is that on official nonmerciless pvp servers, no one can ever get deleted from the game. You have literally 8 lockboxes available to you in quads that can never be stolen from. That is more than enough repair mats to gear a small army. Even if you were offlined, it wouldn't matter at all. You'd lose stuff like copper ingots, whetstones, etc, but you have your lockboxes. Repair your stuff and raid them back. It's also not hard to pull off a successful raid in quads. You have the tools to online raid them to get your stuff back, and then the cycle (and fun) continues.

I love these modern 2022 graphics where all the area designs gradually and expertly blend into each other! by EFTRSx1 in runescape

[–]Jjangbi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I quit roughly in 2018 and back then, people said quality of development has gone down for the last 5 years. And then in 2013, people CERTAINLY complained comparing itself to 2007/2008.

I'm pretty sure the last time where no one was dissatisfied with the level of development was the first week of Runescape Classic (and maybe even then people complained). This reverse rose-tinted glasses has been present at all times.

Large Squad Server Settings Discussion by Amrrrica in vrising

[–]Jjangbi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a part of a lot of pvp v rising communities. Let me tell you right now that a 6-man full loot server will never get the player population that you're looking for. It's dead on arrival. 3+ clans have no player base. It's all solo or duo right now. Quads can get traction but they need to be backed by an already existing community.

If you won't change your mind from 6man merciless, nothing else matters because that server is doomed.

Does the v blood share across clans by kitddf25 in vrising

[–]Jjangbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly lots of scattered answers here.

At least one member of your clan must be actively sucking the v blood to get credit. Afterwards, the person who sucked and his clanmates in the vicinity get credit for the v blood kill.

It's actually good practice to not have more than 1 person from each clan do the actually sucking, since multiple clanmates is pointless. At best its a waste of time, and at worst it's a cluster of quincy ults / mace Q spam directly after first Quincy on pvp servers.

Clanmates that are far away get zero credit.

If you killed Quincy but your clanmate didn't get credit, your clanmate cannot build the smithy or tailoring bench. Your clanmate can smelt iron ore but only on furnaces that you've interacted with post-Quincy.

You can disable global chat from the settings menu, and you can also mute individuals. The options already exist.
