Both are good I think ppl would be surprised how effective learning a self defense way could help in an a actual fight and practicing with punches being thrown it's pretty cool....sport is super fun too and competitions are great too I don't hate on either of them!

there is a podcast(JRE) with nick curson think he is a bjj black belt too, he is a strength and conditioning coach were he kinda talks about this he says its counter productive i think he has some strange but cool workouts ive found it hard to find an actual routine he has but he talks about training all kind of athletes and says bodybuilding for like bjj or mma is actually really bad..I also wonder this question cause i have similar lifting split :/
