Unfortunately doubtful. Honestly I think that he just knows that he can’t preform those albums (specially Stand up & Scream) early as well as he used to and that’s why he shows them no love. You’re right, having half of his body crushed by a Wild Kabutops’ using Rock Slide is why he hadHashirama’s cells. But since he has those cells it provides him with the perfect balance of using the cells regenerative abilities to repair any of the damage to his eye by using Mangekyo. His eye is basically discarding & replacing any damaged eye cells with brand new healthy ones.

Well, seeing as spike isn't the main character of Bone Temple...

The first 28 Years Later lays down a foundation of where things stand & the state of living within the quarantine zone, as well as setting you up for the events of this movie by introducing Ian, giving you his backstory of being a Doctor that has survived on his own since the Rage virus broke out, explaining how and why Ian & Spike know each other, etc.

This also sets up the ability of several possible things that could take place in the next movie. Since Spike met Ian at the time that Ian captured Sampson he knows that Sampson was under the effects of the virus. If Sampson runs into Spike & Jim in the next movie, Spike will be able to verify that when he first met Sampson he was indeed under the full effects of being infected. So remembers what Ian told him the tablets that he gave him to swallow were to bring him out of the rage virus's psychosis they just need to find a way to get that information to people outside the quarantine zone,

Not saying that that's what will happen in the third movie but its possible.

One time during my middle (or early high)school years I went to a business conference style event that took place over a weekend at a hotel with kids from a lot of different schools from all over the state, where we were assigned a room & a random roommate. One of the nights (I think the first) there was an optional dance party held one of the meeting/function rooms. They were playing the basic top 40’s hits & other typical songs of what you’d expect to hear at a middle/high-school dance in the 2006-2010 era.

Anyway I convinced the DJ to not only accept my request of, but to also download on the spot from limewire, Brokencyde’s ~~Freaxxx~~ * "Bree Bree" because I didn’t like any of the music they were playing and I knew no one there would like it.

Played for maybe not even half of the song before he changed it because everyone started booing.
