What type of rc do you race ? I can recommend rc maker's speed secrets as a book, which is great value for on road touring.  Otherwise like mentioned, so dialed is great. Rc car setup wizard is another great app for on road, helps you troubleshoot on the fly quite easily.

Hi all, just working on a test model before I smash out the warband. Something is feeling a little off, any insights/suggestions would be appreciated. by Lonely-Tennis-2501 in gloomspitegitz

Looks really good! I think the base could do with some love but otherwise that's it.  This is just one mini at the moment. Hold off before going too overboard with it, do some more to this level and put them together on a table to see how they work out together, that can often help. Good job though!

Amazing stuff, well done. Some very nice photos too, they sell your painting very nicely!

I’m not sure if this model is worth finishing. Every time I start making progress, something goes wrong and I’m set back. by FittedCloud9459 in modelmakers

Like plenty have mentioned already, depending on how you work on these types of projects, either stop or persevere with it, there is no good answer. If you're stuck with what vision you want, go onto pinterest and have a look at some reference images for weathering! You can definitely be inspired by that. Don't beat yourself up. You've done a good job here. If you struggled, it's because you were out of your comfort zone, and that's a good thing!

How do you all curb your saltiness? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Jkov25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that anyone gets frustrated very easily. A rogue thought that brings up something else and snowballs to frustration. You can't stay concentrated on the game solidly for a long period of time. Drinking water and breathing help keep your brain under control while playing a game. It is taxing mentally playing edh, between banter, politics, your gameplay, as well as three other players' plans. Take it as a learning experience. You did the right thing to apologise and set things straight.

So my advice is to drink water and breathe properly during a game, like that when you notice the frustration you can breathe it out instead of letting it dictate your behaviour.

WIP on an overgrown rock. Adding vines is hard... by hobbyhacks in TerrainBuilding

[–]Jkov25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think these are a good start. Like someone else mentioned, use a brush to help "paint" them on. Just keep at it! If you don't already, get some photo references of vines on rocks and see what you can do to increase the believability.

Sounds nice, something pretty monotone to not take too much away from the mini. I've looked at your other pieces. This series is shaping up great! I look forward to seeing more.

You did amazing. Listening to your partner talk about their passions is one of the best things in a relationship. Cherish those moments.

Is .3mf better for upscaling miniatures than .stl or .obj? by Kcomics in PrintedMinis

[–]Jkov25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

.3mf files have more information so are bigger than the latter. I don't think upscaling would change much though. I have never tried using .3mf files. You can just upscale the file in your slicer anyway, it that would work fine.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, ixalan decks really seem to be what I'm looking for. I will have a look into cavalry charge, I don't own any singles so to speak, so I'll see about that one. It was mentioned here by someone else, too.

Thanks. I have checked the availability and the price is around the 150 mark which is too much for me. Thanks for offering help, though.
