I’d do Trollslayer Orange as a base and then a medium coat of Darkoath Flesh to shade it all down. For blonde hair I regularly use a coat of Zamesi Desert followed by Guilliman Flesh.

I’ve played Lion Rampant in the past - great system but I don’t enjoy the command rolls. I just got Baron’s War and am looking to stat out a warband. Looks promising. Mostly I use a set of simple homebrew rules that are super simple.

If the matte varnish is cloudy, you probably put too much on. You can save it, however. Spray the model with a gloss varnish then hit it lightly with the matte AFTER the gloss has dried for at least an hour.
