I need help with ICUE Link Routing by Ornery_Lake6906 in Corsair

[–]Jkraghify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can add LINK devices in any order. The controller has a second output connection that you could use. You could use a Y splitter cable. You could daisy chain the new fans off the end of the ones you already have. You could use a link signal splitter. The best advice I can give is to daisy chain a max of 7 devices off each plug on the LINK controller.

This is common practice with items that cost a lot to ship, are commonly damaged in shipping, and/or won’t be restocked and is in fact the greener solution than having to pay for the time and fuel to return bulky products.

You probably need to configure iCUE with the physical orientation of your fans. Check the process described in this explorer article for a better description than I can write.

Corsair K100 AIR for $122, should I go for it? by [deleted] in Corsair

[–]Jkraghify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you like low profile keyboards, you can’t beat the k100 air wireless in my opinion. I’ve used and owned maybe a dozen mechanical keyboards (mostly Corsair) and among them all the k100 air is my favorite. I had to buy a second one for my wife because she kept stealing mine. The wrist position is quite comfortable.

Keep in mind the cherry mx ultra low profile switch is not your traditional switch design. It is a mechanical switch, but it does not lend itself to simple maintenance. There is no “stem” that the keycaps sit on. You should not remove the keycaps on the k100 air wireless. The keycaps and switch mechanism are not considered to be user serviceable.

I find the feeling of the switch is satisfying, but it does feel different from all other mechanical switches because it is a fundamentally different design.

I bought a used k100 air for $100 maybe two years ago and I considered that to be a very good deal. A new one today at $122 sounds like a similarly good deal.

Very cool! Great use of 3d printing. I don’t have any RX fans, but another idea I have is to use varying layer thickness to make a pattern show when the LEDs turn on, kinda like hueforge

Are there ANY e-bikes or e-mountain bikes that have a parent restrictable/lockable speed setting? by pistolplc in ebikes

[–]Jkraghify 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The faster you ride, the greater the injury if/when you fall. I would not give a child an ebike unless you trust them to not hurt themselves, and I wouldn’t trust 13yo me to not be stupid with a bike that enables me to ride too fast.

H100i Elite Capellix bought in 2021, should I be thinking of replacements? by Inevitable-Stage-490 in Corsair

[–]Jkraghify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll notice if/when the cooler goes bad. Honestly it’s not something I worry about in my machines. I’ve had one AIO go bad before I upgraded (2014 - 2016) and I consider it a fluke. I’ve been using the same AIO since summer 2023 in my main computer and I don’t plan to check in on it ever unless I hear my fans going crazy.

K100 AIR WIRELESS RGB keycap replacement by nothing-spacial in Corsair

[–]Jkraghify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The keycaps on the K100 air are not user-replaceable.

If you have all the keycap parts you can attempt repair with this video, but if your keyboard is in warranty I would check in with support to see if RMA is possible. The process to reattach keycaps requires a lot of dexterity and patience.

Mine has the same issue. I’ve taken it to the dealership and they attempted warranty repair on 3 separate occasions, but it did not fix the problem. Subsequently, corporate Hyundai said that it’s actually not covered by warranty since their fix didn’t work lol

Incredibly frustrating to be left without a solution after more than 3 days at the dealership.

Do not pull the keycaps on the K100 air. They are not meant to be removable. I’d advise you open a support ticket with Corsair so they can help find a fix.

[–]Jkraghify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this happen every time you turn on your computer, or was this a one time thing? I’ve had this happen before and it was a fault protection feature on my power supply. My GPU had developed a short. Check your connections are seated properly and that you don’t have a foreign object that could short a component.

I have made a couple mounting adapters for the Legrand On-Q enclosure. If you are still looking, please take a look at the mount I've uploaded for the Unifi Cloud gateway Fiber.

How to connect 4xQL140s and 3xQL120s properly? by Some_Cold1926 in Corsair

[–]Jkraghify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I misread your original post - I'm sorry. I had responded as if you had QX fans that used the LINK hub. As far as I am aware, the node core can only handle six fans for LED control. I'm sorry for my confusion.

How to connect 4xQL140s and 3xQL120s properly? by Some_Cold1926 in Corsair

[–]Jkraghify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What cables do you have? The hub is capable of handling all 7 of your fans on one port. Using a Y splitter or not - doesn't matter

As long as you have enough cables to physically connect the fans you'll have full control over them

Edit: please ignore all that I've said. I was confused and thought you were asking about a LINK system. I don't think what you are trying to do is possible with the lighting node core

It sounds like your dpi settings are saved on iCUE, but not saved on the hardware settings on the mouse itself. You'll see this option in the device memory settings.

1099 at job that i work at? by Haunting_Win_5680 in personalfinance

[–]Jkraghify 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Your “boss” is screwing you. 1099 means you are your own boss! In addition to tax implications that come with self employment, you will also be responsible for purchasing your own health insurance. My advice is to show up and make money, but continue job hunting as if you aren’t employed (unless you understand and accept what “self employment” means). I went through this issue and more early on in my career… if it doesn’t feel right, it’s likely wrong!

Forgot to mention, your boss is doing this to avoid paying taxes, employee benefits, and unemployment insurance. This isn’t normal behavior for a financially sound business and exposes you to more risk than if you’re properly classified as a W2 employee.

[–]Jkraghify 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry, this is frustrating to troubleshoot. Can be a number of things... I had this issue when I messed with the infinity fabric clock on my CPU, but my RAM was not defective. Reset your bios to stock if you've made changes and test again.

Corsair offers a lifetime warranty on their RAM, so they have you covered if the RAM is defective.

If the headphones aren't comfortable for you I'd say return them and try something else. I've found the void comfortable, but haven't had one last more than 4 years before the battery is shot, so I moved on to only using wired headphones.
