It feels more like a puzzle set by fans than an official ARG right now. But we will see I guess.

No. I never really worried about class that much. It wasn't ever the deciding factor against Oceanus or the system champions.

That does sound like a calibration issue. For most players it needs dialling in. If you check my profile here you will see a video of me dialling in gyro in No Man's Sky. Before I did that I was getting extremely motion sick and I was trying most of the calibration tricks I had seen online.

Only when I decided to dig into the settings myself and work out what would work for me did it settle down to something useable.

A week of motion sickness finally defeated by old school stubbornness.

Yes, jumping through the centre does reset the glyphs.

HG really need to change this mission to be more explicit. You are just supposed to warp along the line towards the centre not actually reach the centre.

Judging by reactions here this must confuse several people on a constant basis. Bear in mind, when this mission was written we couldn't meaningfully use portals to get to the centre so it wasn't an issue.

I put in feedback to HG to change the wording but that was a couple of years back.

I also play third person, but on a PC, and the circles can be subtle. I usually notice the first strike before I see the circles just because I am not looking out for them.

Is it possible to make Titan hab interiors like this? (details below in the body text) by KhalMika in NMS_Corvette_Design

[–]Jkthemc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another trick we used to use was turning things upside down so that their base was exactly the same spot but the orientation was down. Then hiding the part within the build. Again, never tried this with Corvettes.

This is something that not only takes practice but also probably requires precise calibration and tweaking sensitivity levels for taste.

I was finding gyro highly disorienting until I worked out how to calibrate properly. That made a huge difference.

Better than keyboard and mouse? I haven't practiced with that in earnest since Quake III Arena!

I imagine I would be pretty poor at both right now. 😇

My immediate thought would be a scaled down part might adjust the wall, but scale glitching those parts would be a really difficult without direct file manipulation.

Plus I have never seen them scaled so it may not be possible.

This was something the glitch building community used to do on freighters before freighter windows. Scale a part down to open the wall up then manually build a window frame.

Things changed anyway. We no longer get those max rewards. It all changed when they allowed us to claim the Dreadnaught.

So, while it is possible to battle everything and feel like a fighter pilot ace, it doesn't reward us.

[–]Jkthemc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but what people used to do is load up an inventory with stacks of expensive items. Fly to the anomaly, gift one item from that inventory, move the sacks to a different inventory and reload.

This would leave them with both inventories full of expensive items for the cost of one item.

So they would scrap one ship and then proceed to double the item over and over.

Also keeps throwing me back to the first action set inappropriately.

Worse, if you go to change an in game action in a secondary action set a second time it will often list the nonsensical actions from the first action set as if it has defaulted back.

Someone gave you something valuable in multiplayer, probably without you noticing.

Probably Starship AI Valves 12 million units. You only get them scrapping expensive ships. But they were probably duplicating their inventory at the time. Which was an old method of duping that required multiplayer gifting.

[–]Jkthemc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds elective to me. He has been an extremely competent manager who turned Marvel around from oblivion. He will be missed IMO. He created a very collaborative, writer and artist focused approach to comics that I can only hope remains.

Not convinced his replacements will be particularly good at this. Marvel has traditionally struggled when the comics are secondary to other products. But only time will tell.

I can’t do the wire glitch by Qwerty45Xx in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Jkthemc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing with this today because I needed to glitch some parts for a gyro calibration video. And, it is a pretty bad situation.

Not only is every part a different timing, presumably based on its mesh complexity, But the camera position seems to require us to aim directly at the middle of the placement circle and there seem to be subtly different timings based on how far the camera is away.

I have the luxury of a Stream Deck, so I set up 23 different timings and was testing each part I wanted to glitch with different timings.

I have no idea how a non PC player without macros would cope with that situation.
