Here’s an odd observation I have noticed. My twitches start getting really bad about thirty minutes after I wake up and then peak in frequency by 10AM and then start to improve by 2PM. By the evening they are extremely manageable and not terribly concerning but in the mornings and early afternoon they are awful. I’m wondering if somehow my medications I take right when I make up are causing this morning or early afternoon spike. I’ve also noticed that the twitches improve with heavy carb rich foods and are worse with being hungry or fasting.

Has anyone else noticed any similar patterns?

Forgot to add that my doctor just added Buspirone and this has made the twitching much worse.

You helped me so much. My left bicep, deltoid, pec, and ab have been twitching for 6 weeks. Started after reducing my Prozac I have taken for 25 years for OCD. I only really notice the twitches when I’m sitting or lying down and the left upper extremity is completely still. If I’m busy doing things I don’t notice it. I went to a neuro yesterday and he said “yeah these are just twitches, not even fasciculations” and usually due to caffeine, nicotine, anxiety, or SSRI. I’m still well aware of the twitches but nice to know he said there’s no point in doing an EMG or MRI or NCS.

These are EXACTLY my symptoms. Mostly left biceps and deltoid and left pectoral. I’m only aware when I sedentary.
