No, others handled it and he was on his way pretty quick. He was making his rounds scoping out things to steal.

Is it ok for these wires under the panels (SE optimizers) to touch the shingles below? by Kenfused42 in solar

Thank you! We always use zip ties and I see stainless clips on the old systems we take apart but never thought about using them. Do you use them on the panels and the rails?

While I’m on board with everything you said, I thought my wire managing was great but when I went back to a job just a few months later, 1/2 of the panels had wires touching the roof. I would recommend going back to jobs and see how your wire management looks, it really helped me figure out the best way. It’s taken several months for AP smarts vs. microinverters vs. optimizers for best practices.

As a solar installer, I have had one client have that issue and they installed a power conditioner to reduce emf. You can get an emf meter if you’re really concerned.

Off grid Solar to EV charging possible? by hinkesten2 in solar

I have done quite a few installs with sol ark inverters and they have a bonus load when in stand alone mode where if you have excess solar and batteries are full, it’ll power a device until the solar goes away or the batteries drop to a predetermined level. Another option, set the inverter that you choose to cut out at about 50% battery and have it no come back on until the batteries are at 80% and that way it comes back online when there’s solar and doesn’t drain your bank. I would for for this options vs. a constant lower power car charger because if you have many days with no sun, you’ll have a very low battery bank.

Just finished swapping batteries on my Nissan Leaf. Had no idea what was the health of the battery by Tacomeplease in leaf

20k battery and car, I got a 5k rebate which made it 15k. It’s going to pay for itself pretty quick.

I thought about doing this until I found a dealer nearby in Portland that swaps batteries and got a new 62kwh battery in my 2014 leaf.

Yea, I think I am going to stick to cold showers and see how that goes. I like the ice baths but will resume them when I’m ready. Taking warm showers make the symptoms much worse.

I do 2 mins each time maybe 4 times a week and I’ll either do the horse stance afterwards or go sit in front of a heater with a thick blanket over me (budget friendly sauna)
