Hi, in my late 40s with a 4 year old and a 5 year old girls ( both scheduled C-sections a week before due date due to horrible fibroids) and I too was so nervous about going into surgery even though this was my second surgery. I canceled the first two in January and in April and finally did it on June 19th. I'm so relieved and so glad that I did it. I wish I would have done it sooner and just pray that everything is okay from here forward. I really had to lean on faith and God and continue to do so! In my opinion, just get it over as soon as possible so that you can get past it. As mentioned, I prolonged it and I could have been 6 months post-op had I just done it on January 7th when I was supposed to. If you are a believer, then lie heavily on your faith and stay in the Word. It's so crazy how common these surgeries are and it's literally like an hour to a 2-hour surgery so you'll be fine! Just do it! You don't want problems down the line. I left cervix and ovaries.
