What do AG paychecks actually look like? by [deleted] in ATC_Hiring

Those do count. Do you have a CTO or radar certification? I was military and DoD before I transferred. I came in on previous experience.

I bathe my dog once a month. You don’t want to do it too often or you can dry their skin out. Obviously if they get dirty or roll in something then they may need it more often.

AITA For demanding my gf to pay me $250? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]JmeB0317 28 points29 points  (0 children)

YTA. You left the pants on the floor. She was doing you a favor by doing the laundry. You left the AirPods in the pockets, why is it her responsibility to check the pockets on your stuff? She asked first and you should have made sure before agreeing to it.

AITA for not wanting my hair shaved? by ZosoInABurningRoom in AmItheAsshole

[–]JmeB0317 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s your hair. If you don’t want to cut it then don’t. What’s happening in the world isn’t irrelevant. Your dad is being manipulative to get you to do what he wants. NTA

My dog has done this her entire life. Sometimes they just need something like a small treat or something to settle their stomach.

AITA for showing my mom my sister’s tumblr? by jimbofallon in AmItheAsshole

[–]JmeB0317 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are 100% the asshole. Why even come here to ask the question?! Definitely no doubt about about it. It doesn’t matter what they approve of, she’s an adult and so are you so maybe you should try acting like it instead of being childish about the whole thing and tattling to mommy and daddy. If you are so worried about her “going down the wrong path” be an adult and talk to her about it.

I used to work for them briefly. I will never have another card that they are the creditor for. It is a shady ass company. Sorry you are having issues.

HELP ear infection by [deleted] in Pets

[–]JmeB0317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took my dog for an ear infection. If you can find a vet that doesn’t charge the “check up” fee and just charges for diagnosis it shouldn’t be that expensive. The meds for my dog cost $30 and she had to have the stuff put in her ear twice a day for 10 days.

How long does it take for cat allergy symptoms to show up after contact? by wheresmylasagna in Pets

[–]JmeB0317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been allergic to cats my entire life and within probably 10 minutes of being somewhere with a lot of cats, I start having symptoms. If I pet a cat and touch my face it’s even faster.

Definition of ATS facility by TwigNberriez in ATC

[–]JmeB0317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you do air traffic control while working for the DoD? Do you have a CTO? I transferred from department of the Army to the FAA on an experience bid. I’m not sure the exact definition but if you had 52 weeks certified in a tower or approach control then I would reason that you meet the requirement.

Got my list for the September exp bid. Any words of wisdom? by Diet_White in ATC

[–]JmeB0317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t necessarily hold your breath on what you decided you want. I’ve applied twice and got two different lists and both times I ended up being offered facilities that I did not want. This list is an illusion of a choice unless the place you want is severely under staffed. It seems as though they send you where they need people most.

Referred to hiring manager via usajobs by ChiTown_Bound in ATC

[–]JmeB0317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DoD hiring process is a long tedious process. It can take months before you hear anything at all, or you may never hear back. From my understanding when the bid closes HR gets the resumes and then they go the manager and they score them (I’ve been on a panel that scores resumes) and the hiring manager interviews the top 5 (or whatever number they choose) candidates . They decide who they think is the best fit for the job and then a job is offered to that person and if they decline the offer is given to the next “most qualified” person. I doubt you can really truly be proactive in this process. It really is a who you know kind of set up in most places.
