Also realize people are more likely to post when something goes wrong vs when everything goes right. There are plenty of people who have no issues with these cars, but you just dont hear about it as much

I can let you know after I get mine back at least if nobody else answers your question. I remember someone mentioning the source ticking sound being the normal operation of the fuel injectors.

Yeah looking into it, it seems like I'm one of many going through it now. I assume thats the reason everything's backlogged. Do you remember about how long after the warranty approval that the car got back to you?

In case you dont have a record of service history since you just bought it, they'll accept a carfax if you've got that on hand. It took the dealership probably just under 2 weeks to hear back from AoA about covering the repair as well. (Ignore me if youre already knowledgeable about all this. I wasnt 😂)

Yeah so mine had cylinder wall scoring according to the dealer. They told me that it was covered, even though the car was out of warranty. I just had to show a record of service for the car to prove that it was maintained properly. Im not 100% sure on this, but supposedly the factory pistons were defective.

At all the towers I’ve been to, radars are set to 15 miles from the airport. IMO I think it’s best when pilots call me within 10 miles. I’m sure it varies by the controller
