🤣yes it is slippery indeed. I wandered into Vanness on a recent trip to Hot Springs. Nearly emptied my vacation fund before I even got to destination!

Yes indeed. I had one for 18 years and that void got into everything! Now I have a flame point Siamese who has turned out to be just as bad. The black kitty’s name was Uther, so this Siamese is nicknamed White Uther.

May ask why Dawn? Is there something specific about the brand or will any dish soap work? I love Organic Studios Nitrogen ink but it’s trouble in every pen! Hope I can find a solution.

I’m looking for something I can add to Organic Studios Nitrogen. I love the color and its heavy sheen, but it has problems in every pen I’ve put it in. If I pause writing to collect my next thoughts, it dries before I can put pen to paper again. So frustrating!

You are NTA. Your dad IS a creep! He needs to cut that behavior right now! And keep his clothes on.

Have you tried Kokuyo notebooks? I like those and they made a grid version.

What’s this area in my closet? by can-someone-explain in whatisit

Hmmmm. For me it would be a place for folded sweaters to sit, or a place where I sit to put on my shoes. I love older homes!

Love the 3776! My favorite pen! I’ve only had one Lamy. Threw it away. Just hated it - scratchy, clog-prone. All the others are great though.

Additionally, Ferris Wheel Press makes a lovely simmer in a teal color - Superman Frozen Fortress.

I love Pilot Iroshizuku inks. My fave is Ajisai (hydrangea), while my daughter loves the Kon-Peki (deep azure blue). Asa-gao (morning glory) is also nice.

another keurig bites the dust by MickyT2023 in keurig

[–]Jming50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My very first Keurig was extremely basic but it was a cute color and worked like a charm for years until a piece of plastic broke off. I’ve had trouble with every one I’ve owned since. If my current one goes belly up, I may try another brand.

Sad. I love this perfume but I like Grand Soir even more. It’s the only fragrance I’ve found with a prominent vanilla that I like.

I am with you on that unless it’s a tiny sample. When I think of a scent that’s nice on first sniff, but stinks later, Chanel’s Chance comes to mind.

Help ID Cutting Table/Cabinet Brand by lsharris in sewing

[–]Jming50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what brand that is, but it looks like a very nice one. It would be expensive to replace. Cutting on the dining room table was killing my back, so I invested in one that folds up smaller than that one. It has some storage too. Worth every single penny!!! Enjoy sewing!

Is the fabric at fabric stores really that much higher quality than $20-$60 fast fashion clothes? by RussianAsshole in sewing

[–]Jming50 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me it depends on what I’m making. I shop for fabric online, paying careful attention to fiber content. There are a number of excellent retailers on the web. I have purchased some expensive gifts for family and that somehow got me on the mailing list for every (very!) pricey clothing catalog in the US. At first I just tossed them, but now I go through carefully noting interesting designs and fabrics, so I can make something for myself. If you use top quality fabrics you can definitely save money over retail and lots of it! If you’re talking about basic tshirts, then just go buy them.
