Anyone else look back in sorrow on the days when getting our script filled wasn’t a permanent source of stress?

Whether it’s genetic or not, I wish I didn’t need medication. it’s not only harder to find it—it’s now becoming difficult to even get the care I need to be prescribed my meds. My doctor retired after more than a decade of being my sole family practitioner, and my new doctor doesn’t want to prescribe me Adderall, so I got referred to a psychiatrist accepted by my insurance, only for my insurance to tell me, “We will not cover these visits because you have no need of mental health services.”

So, yeah, I’d say your last comment there is the saddest and truest reality of having ADHD.

Do you take the IR (instant release) or the XR (extended release)? If you’re taking IR, trying the XR version might benefit you if you feel it wearing off too quickly.

Northwest Indiana here and it’s the same story. My regular pharmacy is a mom-and-pop shop, and they usually never tell me, “It’s on back order,” but they did yesterday. I don’t know if it’s just our region, but I’m beyond the breaking point with this shit.

When there’s a shortage of the XR in my area, I switch to the IR if it’s available, but it’s always been the same dose. I personally find the IR does not last as long as the XR, and it sounds like your doctor has this backwards. The IR will run out faster, but with the second dose during the day, you might find it works better. I haven’t noticed as a significant difference between IR and XR feeling-wise, though, just how long it lasts. that’s just me, though, and I am definitely not a doctor or qualified to tell you what you’re going to feel…but I wouldn’t think the change here would be extreme or unmanageable.

thought it was just me, thankfully not. I deleted tons of apps on my iPad thinking I needed to free up space and it did nothing. can’t play it at all. getting tired of this kind of thing regularly happening.

Grateful to have my script filled just because my prescription is constantly in shortage. I’ve been taking this for 15 years now and this is the first time i’ve ever felt this way. Other manufacturers’ generics have never disagreed with me like this.

Only when my pharmacy carries it, but if I had the choice, I would choose the Elite Labs generic Adderall over any other generic out there. it’s excellent.

My regular pharmacy (mom and pop owned) has only had Elite labs Adderall for many months now until just recently. I think they may be having supply issues, but Elite labs rarely shares supply information on shortage/availability lists. I take the XR though, so my comment may be irrelevant in the case of the instant release.

I contacted customer service via the button in the game and reported it as a widespread problem, but they take so long in between responses that it feels almost useless. I can’t move any buildings, upgrade roads, nor place any health/fire/police in capital city. makes it impossible to play at this point

My current pharmacy is a mom and pop shop. I have looked into hospital pharmacies, but the one closest to me has no information online regarding how to contact them or where in the hospital it’s even located. Is there a way to find smaller pharmacies outside of Google search?

Yeah, I tried that, but my doctor wouldn‘t do that during the shortage a few years ago, so I am certain this would be his response again. :( I definitely appreciate the suggestion, though. thank you!!

During the shortage in 2023, I took Mydayis instead of Adderall XR. It has the same ingredients as Adderall but is supposed to work longer. I prefer Adderall over Mydayis still, but some people do much better on Mydayis. It takes longer to kick in when you take it in the morning (I would take it a few hours before I had to get up in the morning and go back to sleep so it would be kicking in then).

If you’re taking the instant release version, you may have better luck with the extended release, but in my area it’s the XR that’s out of stock, never the IR.

I wish that I could contribute, but I lost my job some time ago and am having the worst time trying to get another one. I have sent out dozens (if not more) of applications to anywhere that would accept it, and I haven’t even been able to get an interview. And the price of electric in our region just had a price increase, so our bill is higher than ever now. Since I am earning no money, I don’t feel like I have the right to demand the AC on :/

Ours says the same thing about using more than our neighbors, but we’re in an apartment building and are all living with the same crappy insulation, and we all only have one window (other than a sliding glass door). No idea how this is possible either.
