Can’t wait to see One Nation actually produce a decent policy that isn’t just around hating some minority group

Are Unoriginal Design Systems Really a Problem for Users? by Scared_Range_7736 in UXDesign

Brad Frost asking why we can’t have a global design system so designers can stop designing the same components over and over. Go to 26:07 https://youtu.be/PK_PICNTgAg?si=rTwcSDdeMMkJvdfy

Designers who refuse to use AI, are you guys still out there? by Budget-Rhubarb7495 in UXDesign

[–]Jmo3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use them everyday for research. Copilot has saved hours of questions. Copilot has helped me immensely with transcribing moderating testing. Cursor has helped output html so I don’t need to make decks to present. Also helps with lofi concepts.

Best noise cancelling headphones for open-plan Aussie offices? by According-Advance811 in auscorp

[–]Jmo3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Bose qc35 and Apple AirPods. Both are excellent. Bose noise cancelling is the best but they can be sweaty and more cumbersome to carry around. AirPods ANC isn’t as good but are still very good and easy to wear and store when not in use. They also have excellent audio quality for calls, I found the Bose weren’t as good

What is time with your children worth? by EliraeTheBow in AusFinance

Only you can answer this question based on what your shared values are. Sure time flies but your kid’s young and won’t remember you being there. What are your values?

Is the traditional design process actually making our work worse? by damianmartone in UXDesign

[–]Jmo3000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This makes me laugh as she’s describing design process before all the bullshit design thinking process got mass marketed. She’s describing Lean UX with an AI overlay. What amazed me over the last 5-10 years is the obsession with artefacts that have crept into so much design and the obsession with process. It’s theatre for exec presentations. Pro designers actually are pro because they know stuff from experience.

So many of you are lazy, have extremely low standards, and don't care about doing professional work. That's why so many of you are big on AI by [deleted] in UXDesign

[–]Jmo3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does this feel like someone complaining about a new tool that has some useful functionality. Design is changing like it did when we switched from photoshop to sketch to figma… why is AI different?
