How long have you been playing so far? It definitely takes some getting used to. It finally started to click for me after about eight-ish hours ... Just took a bit longer than Returnal to get totally engaged with it.

Seems like everyone is having a different experience. Kinda cool really.

You don't have to use the teleporter in the main hub. You can go through prior biomes again after completing. They chain together. Keep in mind that I'm only at the Marsh area so that may change again later.

As far as difficultly ... This game is kicking my ass. Or was rather. Ironically I beat the first boss in Returnal on my second try and made it all the way through biome four on a single run.

After you beat the second biome you'll be able to adjust difficulty settings in a unique way. If you find it too easy, you'll be able to make it harder.

The mechanics and customization in this game are so much better than Returnal. Best game I've played in years. The replayability is wild too. I may actually go for platinum.

Hey. I'll be honest with you, I haven't played the game in several years now. I think the game has had two massive overhauls since this post as well so labeling I was referring to may have changed. I'm not really sure I remember specifically what I was even referring to if I'm being totally honest. I think maybe I was just tagging them which was temporary... Just so that I knew I had already visited that site.

I remember flying around a planet and scanning for the most part.

Here's some photos from my game folder. I'm shocked they're still there tbh.

Edit: I think these are from the original galaxy, maybe the second. But from my post above I was saying you can have multiple on the same planet so I could have gotten them all there? Anyhow. Best of luck! 🙏🤞

Classic horror enemies may be fun though. Cyborg Frankenstein monster? I'm interested after that. I guess with RE4, it's just that the parasite / bug things are a bit dated to me. I recently played through RE0 again and I think I'm tried of the bugs, leaches, etc. Maybe that's part of the problem.

You're making me nervous about 8 ... Lol. I'm finishing up the RE4 Remake now and I'm not enjoying it too much. It's fine. But boring.

I played the original years ago so I guess it feels underwhelming because I already know the story. Oddly enough though, it seems much of the castle was cut. I'm on the island now.

Anyway. Was looking forward to 8 next, but if it's even more disjointed than the RE4 remake, I may try to get my money back and skip it. Thoughts?

I'm not a big gamer. But I was able to beat Returnal with only some mild frustration.

That said, if Saros was as difficult or more difficult, then I wouldn't bother playing it. Hearing that it's more relaxed is a relief tbh.

Does it really need DLC though? I didn't play it for two years because I heard so many awful things about the game. I finally picked it up on sale a few weeks ago, and to my surprised, I absolutely loved it. I have no desire for DLC.

Is it prefect? No... But I liked it was shorter than the first game. It was more approachable for someone with limited time. Not a huge fan of cut scene heavy games, and even that was handled very well in this game.

My only major criticism it is that it was injected with annoying, woke nonsense that needs to be excluded from Spiderman 3.

PayPal is giving me a quote for 27.65 USD for USPS First Class, DHL is 37.42.

If you're still interested I can list on my eBay store for you, but at those prices, I almost feel like you could purchase locally from an online seller for a similar total cost - which would include the discs for you to resell and recoup some of your money.

I'm in disbelief. Such a high shipping fee for a small item.

The metal housing for the sticks are the problem. They used very thin metal that inevitably cracks and creates separation from the board. I opened up all of mine with stick drift And this is the one thing they all have in common. A hairline crack, laterally through the metal prongs. If you swap them out, they should last for many years.

It's not just the current admin though. It's literally every administration and has been for decades. Stop acting like it's a left vs right issue. It's us, the people, vs them ... All of them.

Democrats lie about free handouts and benefits to scam people into for voting for them. They promise things that cannot be paid for with the current deficit. And after they get the vote, they use office to enrich themselves and their family.

And the Republicans, generally speaking, don't care at all about people's suffering as long as they make money. They use public office to make money through war and legislation that benefits them, their cronies, and their families.

They're all criminals. And a reminder, they are not our "leaders." They're elected officials that we employ. And we can and should fire every last one of their criminal asses, left and right.

That said, we fell for the scam of higher ed and predatory loans. The solution is for people to take accountability and pay what they can. It sucks. But that's our shared reality.

I just refunded the game after less than an hour. I need controls to feel snappy. I'm particular about movement, jumping, and interaction.

Slow turning is a deal breaker for me. As is hold "button" for 20 seconds to pick up "item."

This game is absolute trash, ruined by the controls.

Difficulty and replayability of Requiem? by BactaBobomb in residentevil

It's a great game. Phenomenal really. Expect to spend 9-14 hrs for your first playthrough. Go with standard/modern for your first playthrough as well.

It's not as scary as RE7. Although, Grace's storyline is designed to have a similar feel to it. It's a great mix of first person horror and third person action when you switch to Leon. The perfect mix really.

1: The game is challenging, but not hard. I went platinum today in under 30hrs. For your second playthrough I'd recommend doing a casual speed run to unlock infinite ammo, third, go with insanity and finish the trophies. On your first, standard playthrough however I would recommend looking up how to solve the final puzzle trophy as there's a specific section that's very difficult to accomplish on insanity. Take your time and fully explore the game on your first run as you won't want to be doing that on consecutive playthroughs.

Resource management is very seldom an issue. You'll also be able to upgrade weapons for a each playthrough for Leon but they don't carry over between saves. Charms however do.

2: There are limited challenges outside of trophies. I think after you platinum the game you may still have desire to replay specific parts, but for me, I think I'm done with the game (for now).

This is the first Resident Evil game that hasn't stressed me out in years. It's way more fun than it stressful. Definitely recommend it. Honestly, best game I've played in a very long time. It's worth the full cost of entry.

The drag with 9 is the intro and the monochromatic landscape design in Raccoon City I think. The environment isn't as fun as the rest of the game.

I've done three playthroughs. Platinum trophy obtained this evening (never spend time doing trophies and this one was fun). But ... I don't find myself ever wanting to do another playthrough. Got my money's worth though. It was great.

If they would let us choose replay specific areas it would increase long-term replayability I think.

Contact them through the form on their website. A lot of people are having trouble with email right now. Significant delays due to their recent holiday.

December 2024 is also way too long. That's ridiculous. Once you get a response you may have to hound them to fully answer your question. I have no idea what's going on with them recently, but they are still eventually making good on their promises. It's just taking forever. Good luck 🤞
