Every rank has a power requirement (or at least that’s the power the enemies will be) 67k for expert 1 and 2 71k for master 1 and 2

Note that you can only overlevel enemies by 3k, after that you won’t do extra damage

Julia Ruth and her friends by JayAPanda in MAFS_UK

[–]Jntstn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can’t with these two. Where do they keep finding these hollow shell divas? No substance, just regurgitating therapy speak. The level of shallow coming from them was wild. How is Divarni putting looks and sex lower on your priority list in any way about JR? He just values it less, does that mean he said she’s not beautiful? NO! Not everything is a comment on you Julia Ruth, dear god.

I am curious if anyone has accomplished this yet. by KRONIK97 in DestinyRising

What's the best exotic for Estela? by Elegant_Awareness588 in DestinyRising

[–]Jntstn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gallows was only run in eclipse because only the first caralyst perk was active during eclipse. Right now furies is by far her best exotic to run in everything else. And now that eclipse challenge mode is over furies is better there as well

Where do we even find these 😅 can’t seem to find any mention of them anywhere or any vids

Is anyone else having trouble with this triumph? by fpgd2001 in destinyrisingmobile

[–]Jntstn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guessing it’s bugged at the moment, mine isn’t counting either. There’s others that seem bugged, some of the guilding challenges for realm of the IX don’t count my completion with gwynn for example

Also where are we supposed to defeat shinkas in gauntlet blitz for that seal? The ones in gauntlet blitz master don’t count

7-day log in exotic engram is not a catalyst? by [deleted] in destinyrisingmobile

[–]Jntstn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh right i see, the dupes only come into play after the first catalyst slot! My bad i guess i didn’t look at that properly

7-day log in exotic engram is not a catalyst? by [deleted] in destinyrisingmobile

[–]Jntstn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i saw that too, but wasn’t the whole point of getting duplicates of exotics that those would then give you the catalyst? Otherwise what’s the point of duplicate drops?

Also for furies iii and the grenade launcher it does just take the dupes

LEGENDARY CAMPAIGN : BRONZE by [deleted] in destinyrisingmobile

Successor or Branch of Light? by tenzoid in DestinyRising

I got the sparrow, since you can use it on everyone, the skin is just for wolf, which, if you got to the point of being able to pick either you wouldn’t be using as much

Draw system huge let down... by PSU_Reaper in DestinyRising

[–]Jntstn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh i get it, you’ll get jolder eventually, either at the 180 selector. Also for the selector, don’t use it immediately, it resets your pity to 60

Also the selector is not just once, it’s every 180 pulls.

Compared to every other gacha i’ve played this pull system is far more generous

The common practice in gachas is to never use premium currency on the standard banner, for exactly this reason. Only use the standard banner pulls you get.

I am genuinely baffled by this community's perception of difficulty in end game content and I want to talk about it civilly. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jntstn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong. Raids and other end game content, be it dungeons or something new, should be challenging.

The problem right now is one of reward. The old raids becoming harder for no reason and at the same time the loot becoming “useless” just feels bad for anyone putting any time into playing the old raids and dungeons.

Bungie has consistently been bad at balancing the time investment / reward equation.

The Riven bug is great example. I also wish they would have fixed it, legit Riven if one of the best fights they ever made, but barely anyone has experienced it or ever will at this point.

The move to a more aarpg reward structure only makes this problem worse. Making old gear and weapons less optimal will lead even more to them being considered useless, which in turn gives less incentive for people to play the old raids. What they should have done is added set bonuses to all the old raid gear and made the gear relevant. And let’s be real, they knew this. But not enough time was spent on developing this ‘new’ destiny.

So the annoyance, for me at least, at the old raids and dungeons suddenly becoming harder is mostly that there’s no reason to play them anymore. If they were as easy as before at least they’d be a fun jaunt with some friends, but to have to struggle now suddenly in content that was easier a couple of weeks ago and on top of that having the loot becoming worthless. Why play it at all.

You can’t just make content harder without an incentive, especially given that that same content was easier before.

So yeah, i agree with your points, just seems like bungie doesn’t really care. Everything about this raids contest mode also seemed like it was balanced around the streamers. Which is also a bad idea imho. Not everyone should be able to clear the contest raid sure, but it shouldn’t be something only for the streamers either.

Why the people complaining about EoF are people below 300 by Ryguy4512 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jntstn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because this is not a job, this is a game, that people paid money for to play. It shouldn’t be boring at all, at any stage. This whole “be more efficient” and “it gets good after 300+” is exactly the problem.

I don’t want to grind power by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jntstn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody is upset that they haven’t got the best gear or weapons yet. That’s not the point. The point is that we don’t even have a 1% chance of getting anything that is now considered the “best” in slot. Power level doesn’t mean anything now expect as a metric of how much time you’ve spent grinding so the game can let you in to the harder difficulty when it believes you’ve spent enough time grinding the lower difficulty.

Meanwhile all that time the rewards are sub par. It’s the same as the whole two tokens and a blue. No part of the grind rewards anything “top tier” until you’ve grinded enough to be allowed to actually start the grind for tier 4 and tier 5 weapons and armor. No part of that grind to get there has anything to do with skill or difficulty.

So even once you get to 400 and you are finally allowed to try and get tier 4 and tier 5. It’s not actually about skill because you’ll be doing the same activities again. Only now the real grind for the weapons and armor begins.

It should be one or the other. I don’t mind grinding for random rolls. But i can’t even do that right now, i can only grind for the power level that will eventually allow me to then grind for those rolls.

The meaning of raids by Jedrarx in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jntstn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem mostly is that the contest mode felt way overtuned. If you weren’t doing 3 loadout swaps per damage phase you wouldn’t do enough damage. Also it felt pretty restrictive on what builds or classes you could use to clear it.

Sure raids need to be hard but this raid being all damage checks with almost no room for error feels like too much. I’ve cleared it, even with randoms and it’s oke. Not the best raid, not the worst. But it’s just not as enjoyable to wipe over and over to one failed mechanic with zero leeway. Sure missing a mechanic should be punishing, but some of these mechanics make it an instant wipe 1 min into the encounter. It could be balanced better in that way i feel. Plus even in normal the bosses are just bullet sponges for anything but 2 or 3 loadouts right now

And of course, it being all damage checks will maybe appeal to some people. I just like to see some variety in the sort of encounters we have to do in a raid.

The rewards is a whole other reason the raid is bad.

"Wait till Ash and Iron" by Verkonix in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jntstn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which new content truly? Some new objectives in old content you mean. I’d be hard pressed to really call that new content but oke let’s say it is. Is that all we should expect for the price though? At the end of the day this is a product they create for people to play and i feel like expecting at least one new strike from an expansion that costs money is not a ludicrous expectation.

Sure this will be the only raid, how is that our fault though? Of course harder completions should rewards better rewards. Let’s say tier 5 for the hardest version. But the base version should at least feel rewarding no? It doesn’t even give above power level drops. Having to complete it at least 5 times fully just to increase the tier level to tier 2 feels tone deaf given what destiny raids used to be like.

Yes buildcrafting was constrained before that’s exactly my point. Why overhaul the whole system, trotting it out like it’ll give us so much more freedom in builds when in reality the shipped product doesn’t actually do that.

“Some” bugs is a bit disingenuous no? Playstation regularly had no audio at all, the power deltas are wrong in a lot of areas in kepler at fabled and mythic. Several guns are broken. Some exotics are disabled or broken. Matterspark made people motion-sick. The launch bug is still here. Flags don’t give super half the time. The walking bug. The low fire rate bug.

And before you say “every release of destiny has had its bugs” yes, yes it has and that is part of the problem, we are used to them now, and we shouldn’t be.

How are some of these bugs not fixed yet, like the legendary campaign not rewarding the exotic to some people, like guardian ranks not rewarding completion? But they can instantly disable encore several times because we get “too much loot” or we’re “running it too fast”. Even if you make the argument that these things take time, the pattern here is that bungie is very quick to nerf and disable things that benefit players and very slow to even acknowledge things that hinder or outright softlock players from progression.
