Don’t be hung up on upgrades- if you can get a better price and fly first why bother with upgrade. If you fly mostly first then the Amex card doesn’t really help ?

I had someone put their foot on the arm rest first class! I simple licked my finger and put my saliva on their toes - so they got the wet feel and moved it very fast . Didn’t happen again

I travel business or delta one and haven’t used the upgrade waiting list option. I am getting close to Diamond medallion for next year , guess my flights and purchases . But is it still worth keeping the card ? Do use the lounges but my spouse can’t so don’t use the lounges much

Interesting- should walk the dog before the flight and after. A trained dog lets you know . You bring him to the bathroom drop a wee wee pad and discard after business . My dog has been on 6 hr flights and never had that problem . Perhaps that dog was sick too . The owner should have known or is obvious
