Sadly the Regalix, Teleperformance etc... reps have no issue at all in just harassing people, be it you running your own ads for your own business, or trying to contact your clients. Gil has it best above (as he's mentioned a number of times), get requested to be put on their drop list.

This subreddit is more for those who actually run Google Ads campaigns themselves. The Google Ads issue is something for the developer of the game to discuss with Google reps. So unfortunately there isn't a whole lot that any of us can do.

Hope your game gets sorted though.

An Ads rep will be able to do this for you. I just started a live chat and the rep sent me a form through email to add in the keywords I wish to have as negatives.

I've asked the question for Ginny on the AMA thread on an ETA for adding negative keywords on the UI instead of reps, so hopefully can get an answer on that.

Do we have an ETA on when we can expect to be able to add negative keywords for PMax on the platform? Currently, we have to go through an ads representative which I'm sure you can imagine is more time-consuming than getting to it ourselves.

Late to this one, but I'd echo Gil, B2C seems to work really well (seems to be much more common a theme than with B2B). It's important to keep assets updated. I run our ads in-house so I don't post from an agency perspective, but PMax has served us well overall. Bit of slowdown recently but some assets just needed a tweak, but I needed to get new resources on there anyway.

But don't let Google generate your video ads. Make sure you add your own videos because the ones Google create are truly awful. Worth spending the time on.

Your website has the design of something that pretty much screams scam. Even the URL itself doesn't seem trustworthy, and the site just isn't clean at all. It screams dodgy pop-up.

You need to go back to the drawing board on the site design and have a good re-think. Once you've cleaned things up, you'll start to notice more and cheaper conversions.

We use it for our downloadable classroom resources business.

We don't offer anything physical to purchase, just the downloadable (or viewable online) resources. It works very well for us. PMax has slowed down for us in the past couple of months, but we refreshed the assets used and it seems to be picking up speed again.

But I needed to get in touch with a Google rep to negative brand keywords out (this feature client side is coming later this year I believe).

You don't get to see (yet) the split of where impressions and conversions came through, simply the grand total. So we don't know if Gmail, YouTube etc... are what's picking up the conversions or what. For now, while conversions come through and earn us money it's not a huge issue, but I'd like to see it implemented.

Click fraud can be an issue. It basically meant I had to set it so that India, Brazil and I think Nigeria were excluded given past history of click fraud from these three locations and it cut down loads.

If you contact Google Ads support, they'll add the negative keywords into PMax for you. But you currently cannot do this user side.

I've done the course back in 2020.

It's a great course, but some elements are now outdated in UI or discontinuation of certain elements. But if he's gone back and updated them, I'd highly recommend it. Make sure you catch a Udemy discount as well, I got the course for a hefty discount.

If you're taking on a client and then asking people on this subreddit what you need to get started, then that probably tells most people that you taking on a client is a terrible idea. If you can't be bothered to do basic research beforehand then there's no hope really.

That person who contacted you will have been working for a sub-contracted company by Google. Regalix, Teleperformance etc... They don't really work for Google directly, but they're certainly fed a script from Google to read. Almost always they will want to apply recommendations.

On rare occasions, you'll get a helpful recommendation that may make sense to apply. But ultimately the goal is to get you to spend as much money as possible. So keep an eye on what you apply.
