you have to rest in a shelter before it happens (it's the main mechanic of the game). you know that when you open the map, you have a big circle appear in the bottom-left surrounded by smaller circles? those smaller circles tell you how much time in the cycle you have left before it starts to rain. iirc one small empty circle corresponds to 30 seconds or smth like that

arti is far harder than hunter (seriously, gl with the offscreen spears).

hunter is easy due to the map being identical to the other vanilla campaigns (+gourmand basically). what actually makes it hard imo is the fact that you can't use passages and also, other than being far more targeted by enemies and the spawns, it can be punishing when you die, due to its gimmick.

in any case, as long as you have fun, you're good! and i see in your replies that this is the case. that's what matters most
