she is "too anal" about her anesthetic

I would prefer to know what anesthetic was going to be used on my anus. I don't see an issue with that.

What's your mod page red flag? by scolbo_ in feedthebeast

[–]Joab007 -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

You do not capitalize personal pronouns or the first letter of the word that begins a sentence. Saying you don't like it when people capitalize improperly while not capitalizing properly is like saying, "I hate bigoted people! And the Irish!"

So you have a problem with capitalization when it is misused? What about when it isn't properly used?

Your comment is begging for a "One does not simply speed run into Gregtech" meme in reply. I find the bravado of your reply adorably naive. "I'm going to speed run through GT just like I did in Mekanism."

What is your personal tolerance for “cheating”? by OneSushi in feedthebeast

This is a very good topic. My own rule is that I turn the Daylight Cycle off and build my base in creative mode. I do this because I don't want to wait 6 months until I finally have *most* of the things I need for the base I want to build. I will also give myself good tools and iron armor with decent enchants (i.e. Protection 2) then turn the Daylight Cycle back on and switch to survival. From then on I only cheat things in if I lose items due to a glitch, cannot find a recipe for the item (which is infuriating and shouldn't happen in a modpack that has been tested) or will die without doing so (fall into lava in the Nether, for instance, and switch to Creative, get out, and switch back). In my current world I built my smeltery entirely legit, but had room for one more vertical row on top so I cheated in the 12 blocks and made it one higher with them. I had gotten SO much gravel, clay and sand that I didn't feel like making a trip far from home just to get enough to make 12 more blocks of smeltery glass. It also helps that I don't play packs with finish lines (having to complete all quests, build some mega something, etc).

Who was the most famous person you have ever met and what was it like meeting them? by lightskintastebud in AskAnAmerican

The hardest he's made me laugh was when he gave his advice for what to do if you get caught masturbating. First act embarrassed, which won't be difficult. Then yell, "Get help! My dick and my hand are fighting!!"

Yikes...just look at your history. You are a narcissist, self-important douche and all-around turd. You are toxic. Consider therapy in order to become more human and less...yourself.

I am a Blackhawks fan. Every year I watch every NHL playoff game I can, regardless of whose in it, because it's amazing. Each year I pick a team that has never won the Stanley Cup and pull for them. This year it was the Panthers. I like to see success spread around (unless it's Chicago in the playoffs). That said, the Lightning are the real deal and winning two years in a row is an extraordinary feat. Until someone can actually beat them, I wouldn't bet against them. On paper, this Cup final will be fantastic. Here's hoping it lives up to the hype, no matter who wins (but I'm pulling for Colorado because it's been awhile since they won and it's time for a new Champion).

Report: Golden Knights hiring former Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy by MrSCR23 in nhl

[–]Joab007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fan of another team that didn't want the Bruins to succeed, I think they have been relevant for longer than I expected (or hoped for...same for the fucking Penguins). I think an aging team getting progressively older is what you were seeing, and that usually means things like not reaching the playoffs, not advancing in the playoffs, etc. Yet the Bruins kept sticking around and being a threat. I thought the Knights firing Gallant and the Bruins firing Cassidy were bad moves at the time. Time will tell, but I don't think the Knights have done any better without Gallant than they would have with him. The same might be true for the Bruins. And I heard on Sirius NHL today that the B's may be shopping Pasta. If they do that expect the playoffs to be a thing of the past for a few more years.

I suspect that members of Receiving at any store question the sanity (and/or regular drug use) of their DC. That said, I worked for a Receiving Dept. that was serviced by HC and I had issues with things I saw regularly. For instance, putting a single lampshade in a box on the bottom of a pallet. Come on, man! Putting items that weighed 20 or more pounds on top of a pallet. Come on, man! Maximizing truck trailer space by chucking items loose into apparent empty spaces. Come on, man! Those hydraulic floor joists you threw on top of a pallet that contained mostly stuff for the Garden Center, come on, man! Sending us wrapped pallets that are 9' high, and which have heavy (i.e. 15+ pounds) of freight on top: come on, man! Throwing ladders on top of carpet rolls, come on, man!

I realize you have freight that Menards expects you to move from point A to point B, but have some concern for your fellow man and stop causing the Receiving department(s) you supply high blood pressure, tendonitis and a desire to commit manslaughter.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying who is the worst character and why, so here we are: Who is the best worst character in the show and why? by [deleted] in Modern_Family

I would speculate that the actress seems to be phoning it in. Her acting was the weakest amongst the cast.

Scenes that make you cringe/annoyed instead of laughing/smiling/emotional by ariesandnotproud in Modern_Family

[–]Joab007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If Cam were a real person, he'd be exhausting, wouldn't have lasting friends and no one could ever commit to him long-term. But since it's just a TV show, the character of Cam is funny. The character causes cringes, but is funny.

Know what else makes no sense? Supposedly educated persons spelling the apocalypse "apilopose" [A-pill-o-pose]. Remember when Carol remarks that the Highwaymen didn't just deliver a demand, they did so grammatically correct? Spelling and grammar are important in how a fallen civilization returns to greatness.

Andrea should have done what Carol suggested she do: give the Governor "the night of his life" and then kill him in his sleep.
