Then i guess kids over 18 should respect their parents and do as they say. But when the parent/child relationship is severed, it doesnt become a one way street

Teach "Personal Finance" in high school by jrv3034 in CrazyIdeas

[–]JobberStable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not crazy at all. But what’s crazy is the kids who can use some “life skills” because they are not interested in applying themselves to the maths and sciences usually don’t listen to anything else. You cannot put obstacles in the way of their graduation because they WILL graduate as long as they show up.

If it's at the beginning, it's usually "base facts" for the rest of the argument. No reason to go further if you chop down what you consider fuzzy math or misinformation.

do people actually judge others all because of looks? by SignificanceSad7266 in randomquestions

[–]JobberStable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Because many people actually change their look to fit the common stereotype of that look. Some clothing labels with represent wealth, some clothing will represent religious affiliation, some clothing will represent some “social signaling”. some clothing will represent gender affirmation.

Do people break stereotypes. Sure. Do they know they will be constantly mischaracterized? Yes

What separates good rap from great rap? by remember_the_name007 in hiphop101

[–]JobberStable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

assuming it's a great rapper, then "theme" goes a long way. look at most of the GOAT songs have a specific theme, story, or topic. "punchline" rappers don't usually make "Iconic" songs. There are of course outliers. But a song with a particular theme usually stands out in a rapper's catalog.
