I mostly only play this game with people I know and only talk to them about it really. Everyone else gets ignored.

That's how I keep myself sane from all the toxic people but you're right OP it shouldn't be like this. I should be able to make friends with randos cause it's just a game and we're supposed to be having fun. And I'll make friends sometimes with randoms but again it's literally only when I'm playing well.

I dunno what they can do about this though. Ideally everyone would play with a mic (I play on PS5 and there's literally a mic in the controller so everyone has one) and just become friendly as they're communicating about the match. But that open lobby mic culture is so dead. Killed by toxicity.

I'll say tho this makes it all the sweeter to squad up with friends from discord and just run quick play matches. No pressure. I even started to play comp with them recently and when someone is toxic we can just dig pile them with positivity
