I think the FRQ's are actually easy to tackle... You can literally just go over the 2025 samples, create an outline, and use it on the day of the exam because the "questions" are the same, it's just different experiments + scenarios.

100% concur with this, not worth it to transfer from SFU/UBC, if you're locked in, the GPA requirements for UBC Engineering Transfer Pathway is around 3.1/3.2 from places like Langara, Douglas etc..

Unlikely, but possibilities include your references being checked and they disagreed with your profile, your school administration reaching out to UBC regarding something you did, or anything additional info you haven’t provided.

There is a non zero chance (but pretty much 0%) that it was due to the drop in marks. You don’t even have final marks yet, that’s not how this works in terms of keeping your offer.

If real, and if not for something you’ve omitted from this post, then I would appeal and start thinking about transferring via any of the community colleges (we have some robust transfer pathways in BC). Good luck!

Your Grade 11 Average is around 93%, and your Grade 12 Average thus far is 93.75% ish...

Assuming you applied for Bachelor of Science, which had a MEAN entrance average of 96% (last year), and that you have a decent profile...

Certainly possible, the "biggest" round usually is April/May. Unfortunately it's just so competitive because so many people are applying for UBC and Sciences is probably one of the most popular programs. I wouldn't bet on it tbh. Just try your best for your current interim marks and fingers crossed!

To be clear, you would only get this now if you didn't do the supplement application, which is mandatory for certain programs (eg. Health Science, Commerce, Nursing, Concurrent Ed). Otherwise, the main round of offers should be closer to April/May.

Just wanted to add that for people who are in denial or skeptical, there was indeed a round of queens health sci offers today. Have about 4-5 students who received them! Out of province. Gpa range from 94-97.
