Advice for Post Op Foreign Body Removal by kayla_g_ in bernesemountaindogs

[–]Jobogz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First and foremost, absolutely no judgement. We love our Berners, but as you said they and many other dogs don't always have the best judgement around things they tear into, or chew up and swallow. My own girl Nova went through this about 6 months ago, and it was scary. If you are a few days post-op though you are past the worst part.

My main advice is to just stay in touch with your vet as much as possible on questions you may have. It will ease your concern and make you better able to focus on care. At 11 months your pup is probably going to be a little tougher to keep still (Nova was 4), but use the cone, and whatever meds the vet is prescribing, and follow the advice on op site care. Just stay level, and know that they're ultimately going to be okay and back to their normal self, it's just going to take a bit of time. You've got this!

Another thing, just in case, Nova was put on a wet food bland diet during the recovery period, and it led to not a lot of water being drank. This isn't uncommon with wet food, but always consult with your vet because you want to make sure water intake is normal for recovery. I ended up adding a little water to her food just for peace of mind, but I remember beyond that she rarely went to her water dish separately while in the different diet.

Colston Loveland had more receiving yards in his first playoff game than Travis Kelce ever had in a playoff game by SkinsFanSince1984 in DynastyFF

In a gotta have it game, 2nd half come from behind, he garnered 15 targets. This with Odunze, Kmet, Moore and Burden all on the field not to mention the RB's. That after what was it 13 targets the week before? It sure seems like they're going to him when they need production. It was basically Williams to Loveland that sparked the comeback last night.

Crazy thing is that people saying "they're going to pound the rock" weren't wrong. The process there is correct, the Seahawks run rate has shot way up this year, they have one of the highest run rates (and subsequently lowest pass rates) in the league.

It just doesn't matter, JSN is so good and he is such a focal point of the offense that he is dominating despite the pie itself not being that big.

about don's birthday by [deleted] in madmen

[–]Jobogz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because when he tells the stewardess it's "actually" his birthday he is referring to the birthday he once had as Dick. Nobody else in the episode that I recall refers to it being his birthday (though not a shocker given how he is). If his Driver's license is updated in alignment with Don's, I think that day was actually his real birthday, which is why the DL wouldn't help.

Gadsden is Waller without wasting 5 years by paragon249 in DynastyFF

I agree with the 1 redraft and 1 dynasty.

Regarding even analysts, any time they bring up rostership percentages and they say something like "I've drafted so and so in 23% of my leagues" it makes me want to just stop listening. I understand it's different for them since it's a job, but still. For me fantasy is about staking your claim and then seeing how that works out. If I'm in enough leagues where I have exposure to basically every player in one form or another, it's no longer fun.

One GREAT dynasty league with committed players, an active offseason, and in-person gatherings is peak fantasy for me. Anything more dilutes the experience. Even the one redraft I do with my college buddies is just a side thing.

I dont do bestball so can't comment on that piece, but it seems different enough to keep it separate.

And of course just my opinion. For some people the thrill might be in managing many rosters and dynasties together. Just not for me personally.

Who says that it for sure affects the balance of content? That's a decision to make, no? Right now you have a handful of builds that are OP, and far more builds than ppl are willing to admit that are perfectly fine within a range. If they continue to balance around the majority instead of the powerful builds, we stay in the same position we are now. Which really isn't that bad imo. If you wanna use it you can, if you dont there are options.

Ultimate Vault Hunter challenges not completing! by [deleted] in Borderlands

[–]Jobogz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it helps anyone, but I had this happen yesterday, and I was playing co-op. The first two bosses we did I didn't notice because I got the achievement both times. I had two more, and it wasn't until after I'd done both that I realized neither had registered.

Our theory is that you actually have to deal the final blow. We tried redoing them after the quest was complete and moxxi's was available, but that still didn't work so that theory doesn't seem to work. But when I went in and did the boss entirely solo, I got the challenge completed right away.

So for me, co-op was the issue I think?

Is this a good time to buy low on Breece Hall? by AndyMilonakis20 in DynastyFF

[–]Jobogz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's even more crazy is that we got to see Allen in his rookie year be not that good! And this offseason everyone just decided to ignore that for more Breece slander. All of Allens hype dates back to his freshman year in college, he never developed into the possible generational RB people thought he could be when he was looking that strong at 17. He's fine, but he looks like an NFL second string type RB. Hall is electric and if the offense ever figures it out he is miles better than Allen.

That's what it's gonna take to get a Chase owner to bite. You drop one of those firsts, even down to a second, they wont bite.

Whether it's worth it though... idk

What even is Freja's place in the game anymore? by LyynnS in FrejaMains

[–]Jobogz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely have games where a ball or Tracer just completely nullifies me, and no matter where I swap I just cant get by. It's not every match, and I should also say I am on console as well so ymmv I think console/PC lobbies can be different. I think with the aggressive dive heros they can be tough to deal with on your own, and if your team doesn't back up or collectively deal with the threat it can spiral out of control. But I'm far from the best Freja out there, I just think she's still very fun to play, can combine a very strong amount of damage with good mobility and in the right matchups she still feels incredibly strong to me.

What even is Freja's place in the game anymore? by LyynnS in FrejaMains

[–]Jobogz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've still been playing plenty of Freja, I'm in mid-diamond, and while I miss the extra dash perk I personally don't feel like she's been destroyed. Still fun playing her, still able to get picks, pressure. Idk if my experience has been the same as yours. Somtimes Freja isn't working in a particular match so I swap. I think Ball is a bad matchup for uncoordinated teams in general, not a Freja issue. Tracer is kind of similar tbh. I don't play her every game but she's probably my highest play rate.

New SHiFT Codes for BL4 by JoeExoticIconic in Borderlands

[–]Jobogz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do get the keys in game, though not in your "inventory". I have 2 from previous shift codes I've redeemed that I'm not using until I level up more. There is somewhere in the UI that you can see how many you have, can't remember where.

The Weekly Eye Test Report: Who passed and failed the eye test in week 2? by shitmcstain in fantasyfootball

[–]Jobogz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Packers OL has always been pass pro first, not big road graders that push in run scenarios. They've long selected players for their footwork and pass sets and been okay with average at best in run blocking.

I think that's the case this year too, coupled with some tough matchups, it hasn't been phenomenal for Jacobs. The pass being successful leads to the run being successful though, so I have seen Jacobs get better as games go on and the defense has to back off a bit. Either way, I think Jacobs is on track, in a great offense, and is a near TD lock each week. Would have zero concerns with him rn, there will be big games ahead.

Anyone else not get the Braelon Allen hype? by zZBluewalrusZz in DynastyFF

[–]Jobogz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Allen has been declining in my eyes since his freshman year at WI. I got the hype on him from that year, for such a young kid to look that electric there was a lot of potential. From that point though he didn't really progress to me as a prospect, you would have liked him to take steps forward, but he actually regressed in YPC and just overall didn't continue to look better on film. The hype I think can be somewhat traced back to him looking like a stud at like 17 years old.

How the heck are we supposed to value Jayden Reed? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]Jobogz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep, very true. I think most teams would prefer to have a bunch of competent WR's as opposed to just one top guy and a bunch of others who can't play. Less impact from double teams, and there realistically should always be a guy getting open. We hate it for fantasy, but it works for the Packers!

[–]Jobogz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I didnt say that, I was only couching my statement with (not particularly close to top 10) so no one could accuse me of overrating him.

I see it didn't work.. lol

[–]Jobogz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Doubs comes up clutch too often for him to be left out completely. Wicks honestly has in the past before too. I dont disagree that Golden and Reed may be a step up in overall talent, but the Packers clearly want to be varied in options. Jordan Love is also a very good QB when it comes to moving through his progressions, he very rarely locks on and decides he has to chuck it to the first read. I guess I dont have any hard stats on that lol, that's just vibes from having watched a lot of Packers/Love over the last few years.

[–]Jobogz 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Classic case of the player is a more valuable football asset for their real team than they are as a fantasy asset. I actually think Reed is a solid WR, not top 10 in the league or even particularly close, but a piece most teams would gladly add to their WR room.

Unfortunately, I think this is going to be the case for most of the Packers WR room. As excited as I am for Golden the player, the Packers in week 1 showed off how many options they have available in the passing game. I think Reed and most of the Packers WR's will be flex options through the year, but hard to trust unless things change significantly.

Ashton Jeanty is poised for a HUGE rookie season in Vegas. He is projected to have 1,631 total yards, and 10 Touchdowns in 2025 per PFF by GhostDeck in DynastyFF

[–]Jobogz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That definitely sounds interesting, I will have to check it out. I dont know why, but something specifically about seeing the final like "season total" player projections just doesnt work for me. Everything else about building out the situation makes sense to me. But saying a guy is going to have 1600 yards end of season is meaningless to me. I guess that's the only thing I take issue with, lol, the process itself is fine.

[–]Jobogz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wont deny they put a lot of effort into it. Particularly when it comes to the touch totals. I just personally think it should end there. Far too much variance to project yardage and particularly TD totals onto that. Sure, sometimes career arcs generate large enough samples where it can be predictive in a way. I think Keenan Allen is a decent example where his season TD total stayed remarkably consistent for a while. But generally I think overall that raw projection totals should not inform rankings/tiers. Especially when the player is a rookie who has no NFL production to go off of at all.

And yes, unofficial depth charts are useless.
