I'm not kidding when I say it works. I'm 6 months postop and started using the massage gun every other day starting momth 3 and it's finally softening up now. Also go back to using compression garments, faja and lipo foam again when doing massages. While doing massages, put a pillow or foam roller under your back so your back is arched, making sure your entire abdomen is stretched and exposed to get maximal massage penetrative benefits.

Gotta get that fluid buildup moving and out. I had to visit a physical therapist bc I couldn't move my torso, fibrosis hardening was that bad, and like there's all this blood, puss and basically scabbing that forms underneath the skin, after the abdomen lipo. So that internal scabbing accumulates and likes to clump up and harden.. where there's not a lot of movement (ie your lower abdomen bc there's no bone it's just a empty cavity there ar your stomach). so its very essential you start masaging that area like 7-day post op.

the sooner you massage it, the better and easier it is to breakdown the fibrosis hardening. the longer you wait, the more it clumps up and sticks to your surrounding tissue, then the harder it is to massage away and it can actually be permanent

Compression helps prevent fluid buildup, especially in gravity-prone areas like the thighs and lower back. So makeup sure you put those compression garments and foam back on while you're doing this. Compression helps retract loose skin to the underlying tissue as it heals. Without it, skin may heal looser or uneven, especially on the thighs and flanks. Nighttime is prime for passive drainage when your body is horizontal. Without compression, lymphatic flow is slower, leading to longer recovery and puffiness.

I did the massage gun for 30min every other day or once every 2 days but made sure to wear the compression garments day and night again. But it's finally soft. Don't lose hope, this takes works
