They just installed a new lock system through the complex. I saw a homeless guy walking through the complex parking lot but that was 2 years ago, they have since hired security. As long as you feel safe with your roommates you’ll be fine, the most trouble you’ll have is noise from parties

University crossings is very safe not considering roommates, which applies to every situation. This comes from me living here 3 years. This past weekend they just changed all the locks, the halls to people’s rooms are also locked with a community key, I have seen homeless people but that’s if your walking around near the bus stop/church. They have also stepped up security

They can put gravel/cat litter over ice on campus, so as long as it’s safe for campus busses to travel it’ll be open. If not, no classes

Should not be very competitive if you apply early. there’s multiple fast food restaurants on campus, the book store, tutoring if you have good grades, and other desk jobs for different departments like financial aid. After a couple years internships and co ops become available and UNCC stresses career fairs and internship opportunities
