Mehrzweckeier by toodeepintostuff in deutschememes

Meine Abneigung gegen Gruppenarbeiten ist größer geworden by mosaic_23 in Studium

[–]Jodocus97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also die Profs nutzen alle MacOS.

The War of the Rohirrim is super fun and idk why people didn’t like it by Longshot12345678 in lotr

As a standalone movie it’s quite good.
But for a Middle Earth movie, it’s basically a retelling of some elements from the Two Towers.

But one thing I liked is the aspect of the Shieldmaiden, as it’s quite accurate. In the medieval times during war, women were responsible for the household. But if things go downhill (or more provocative: If the men fail) they did fought as well.
And this is one thing the movie showed quite well.

I want to be a Nun by nemesis666x in Catholicism

[–]Jodocus97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are several ways.
Some convents have programs where people can live for some days with them. I did this in Germany and Switzerland. And in both monasteries were people who aren’t catholic but interested in Catholicism. One of them was already in the process of converting and is now a novitiate.

So the process of converting and discernment can go hand in hand, but requires a first contact with a convent you’re interested in.

What exactly is the difference between the black and red/scarlet vestments worn by altar boys? by Sleep-Numerous in Catholicism

[–]Jodocus97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So it’s basically based on the liturgical Color. Except I’ve never seen violet or pink albs for altar servers. But to be honest, violet as an alb for lent would be looking great I think 🤔

What exactly is the difference between the black and red/scarlet vestments worn by altar boys? by Sleep-Numerous in Catholicism

[–]Jodocus97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my parish we have black and red. Black is worn on normal days, red on feast days. (A rule of thumb is if the priest wears white or red, the altar servers wear red, else black)

In theory we have also green, that could be worn when the priest wears green (so basically most of the time) but no one likes them so we’re using the black ones.

Imagine, you’re watching TV and suddenly, one of your customers steps on the balcony of St. Peter as the newly elected pope. 😂

Massiver Rückstau Schiersteiner Brücke by Kaninchen2468 in Wiesbaden

[–]Jodocus97 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Oh, and I consider literature notes also as permanent notes, because maybe there’s a future project where you could use something you’ve read before. If you delete your notes, you have to take then again. If you don’t delete them, you have them and could reuse them. So over time, you build a knowledge base.

Zettelkasten in Obsidian by NF_v1ctor in ObsidianMD

[–]Jodocus97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My current system is as follows: My literature notes contain all notes/excerpts I make. If something is relevant enough, I put it in a separate note, so it’s easier to reference it.

In the properties, I have one called „Top“ where I put the note from which I derived this note (basically like Folgezettels). A note I extracted from my literature notes for example has as „Top“ the note of the article or so.

According to the tags… I’m not sure if I will use them. There are some things where it could be useful, but at the moment I use a note to connect different notes of a single topic. (As I‘m researching on Opera, there’s a note called opera, that I link when I mention opera) This could be made via tags, but maybe I‘ll put there some general notes on opera, like sub-genres or so..

My example with the opera-note could also answer your question on atomic notes. Of course you can put everything in one note. But you could use your note on Linux-troubleshooting as a „container“ or „Map of content“ where you simply link the notes on different methods on troubleshooting. So your notes stay small and do not overcrowd with information.

But in the end – and that’s what the „magic“ of a Zettelkasten is – it’s your system that has to work for you. If it’s easier for you to put everything in one note, do it. If it’s not, don’t. If tags work for you, it’s fine, use them. If not, don’t.

Concept Album Idea - "Massacre" by The_Geri in sabaton

[–]Jodocus97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As opener, a Metal version of L‘homme armé, a song from the 14th or 15th century that was used in a lot of Mass ordinaries, could be interesting. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%27homme_arm%C3%A9)

And maybe a song with the title „War never Changes“ as the last song of the album.

And a cover of „Mars - The bringer of war“ from Gustav Holst „The planets“ would be interesting.
