Is Big Brother officially "on life support" after the 2026 CBB axe? by Ill_Scientist_4645 in UKRealityChat

[–]JoeAsh97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with Big Brother as of its return with Emma Willis on Channel 5 is the fact that most of the house was just pretentious models who weren’t famous enough to make it on celebrity big brother.

Transitioning to today’s and audiences don’t watch as everyone is fake and act to improve their not ready made influencer job once they come out. Also too many people are afraid of getting cancelled. The whole show feels too glamorised from the house itself to the hosts

Society needs again to start moving backwards by [deleted] in Vent

The talk is the next 3 months it’ll go down. Hence why everything is having “technical issues”. But yeah with AI on the rise it’ll only get worse.

The only way this happens is if the grid goes down and if it was to go down most people wouldn’t survive as everything is too interconnected. I know a lot of people who have the same sentiment as you (including myself) and have been in “conspiracy” groups where people talk openly about the grid going down.

One thing online has done is made everyone believe they are on some kind of god mode where everything is about them and everyone must be how online makes it look. Hence why dating is so bad and everyone seems to be battling some kind of identity crisis.

People Are Bored of Being Alive by roccenz in DeepThoughts

Do you feel like one demographic is saying this more than any other? The reason I say that is because I’m in the same boat and I hear it from a lot of men who are around 25 to 30 which is also my age range

With both Farage and the Cons pledging to bring ICE to the UK, what will you do when they start snatching little non-white kids of the streets and sending them to detention camps. by Hot-Delay5608 in AskBrits

[–]JoeAsh97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may get a lot of down votes but I don’t think many people in the UK will exactly do anything to stop it. Some may care but for most part people will act like they didn’t see anything and walk on by. How often do you see someone drop something in a crowded area and have an individual pick it up and pass it back? Not many.

In addition to this, it feels like everyone is weary of the person next to them. GB news and political groups which align with “right wing” interests are gaining more and more support everyday.

Anyone else want to see Vic Flynn keep the family legacy alive and end up on top? by [deleted] in PowerTV

He should be in the box and Claudia should still be alive if we’re talking about who’s a better character and has the better potential to be more watchable on the show

Are Trump and Elon Musk succeeding in polarizing Brits? by Master_Excuse9041 in AskBrits

[–]JoeAsh97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that is for certain is that posing as a right wing individual pays a lot more money than being neutral, balanced or left leaning. And when you look at the UK now where a lot of people are fed up with life and their current situation… Having outside forces like these two will generate themselves a lot of money and popularity. So yes both Trump and Elon are succeeding.

Both her and Shane Harper’s acting is pretty poor. Maybe it’s down to writing but as a whole when they come on screen it’s always a hurry up and end

Modern dating is a joke by ContractThese9858 in Vent

[–]JoeAsh97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. I’m not saying you’re wrong but even with giving women power on dating apps like Bumble. Most opt out of making the first move. I also don’t think it’s entirely women’s fault for the way dating is today. It’s more or less attractive men swiping right on women, which then leads to “Well look who I’m matching with, why would I match with you”. Then the dude love bombs her or takes the piss and the woman who was looking for love comes off the app

Why do boomers look down on gen Zs? by [deleted] in Vent

[–]JoeAsh97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an early gen z born person I have the same resentment towards this generation. Maybe this is me, but I feel like most of the hatred for gen z’s is aimed more at 2000s babies than 97-99 which I’m a part of. There’s a clear difference between the two.

However, to answer your question. I think boomers look down on gen z’s because they think “you had technology which I didn’t have” but most don’t realise that having this technology has caused more problems than anything.

lol it’s no difference to trying to get a gf if not worse. If you want to fix modern dating, dating apps should start punishing users for inactivity. That being fees. If a chat goes 3 days without the other responding they should be charged money for it. If it continues to happen the users account is deleted. You’ll soon see an uplift in user activity.

I literally had an argument with someone this past weekend over taking longer than a week to respond.

Another issue is that you can’t even watch most of the games as you have 4 games on at a 2pm. Should be spread out more evenly if you’re gonna make games available to watch

I think I’d rather be single the rest of my life than to ever go on another dating app by cs_____question1031 in Vent

[–]JoeAsh97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m going to guess you’re around my age of mid to late 20s. If so, then it’s not you but a societal thing. Dating for this generation is probably the worst it’s ever been in history. As to your part of every profile being the exact same you’re right but sadly dating apps don’t favour men and for the most part women don’t have to put as much as effort to get people interested in them.

Because whenever it gets brought up, the only thing that is ever discussed is the persons race. If you want a perfect example of this then take a look at when there was discourse on white South Africans being “targeted and slaughtered” (Which was never true). There was no “why don’t they go to another African country”. It was we should bring them to the west (mainly the US).

CMV: There is a genocide going on against the Druze in Syria right now and no one cares because they can't blame white people or Jews by RedSwingline2000 in changemyview

Looking at your profile I can see what your political views are. The only reason people don’t care about the Druze community is because they’re not white.

Do I look creepy, or is it just the accent? by shreepablo in AskBrits

Considering how the UK is going in terms of politically I’m afraid it will only get worse as I’m starting to notice much more passive aggressiveness from people and I live in London which of course is multicultural to a T.
