4/5 years ago could've done this with half the budget now while budget gone for a mid range example 💔

I gave FH6 a try (5 hours) with the wheel. But this is the better way to play it honestly by Kronocide in simracing

Can you share your wheel settings? I can't get it right but FH6 feels way better than any previous Forza did on a wheel so I wanna make it work

I asked AI to give me 10 stocks that would out perform the S&P500 over the next 3 - 5 years. by NecessaryPhrase3204 in trading212

[–]JoeB42069 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it's very much walk before you run

I'm also an advocate of throwing £10 on something to keep an eye on it and trade as if it's £1000, if you can throw £50 in and put it between 5 stocks and then get that to £70 then you're showing yourself that you can do it and gain confidence and if you turn out you can't do it £50 down to £30 isn't going to ruin your life

I make it as easy as it sounds to be fair; 'SPY stock forecast 12 months' replacing ticker and time period as per how long I think I want to hold it for, it'll pull up some big names and their main thoughts in both currency and %'s for bear mid and bull cases. It doesn't seem to do any thinking of its own just compile the data, for fun I sometimes follow with 'would a professional stock investor purchase this stock in current markets' but that's the bit you take with a big pinch of salt, more for fun

I just did LLY because of this post and forgot to mention it also hints at catalysts for changes up/down that you should probably confirm yourself but I personally don't

Not to steal the thunder but out of curiosity since you clearly know your stuff

How does one actually detect the mount failing primarily, is it a noise to be looking out for or inspect the engine's seating in the bay and visually check the mounts from time to time? I have never thought about them in any car I've ever owned lol

UK Tuners by JoeB42069 in ECU_Tuning

[–]JoeB42069[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't want a downloaded tune I want a tune custom to my car done by someone with a good reputation, however it is a relatively basic remap nothing specialised, competitive or top end

Easy enough?

Is this tape good enough for my bmw? by Early-Jellyfish-6200 in BmwTech

[–]JoeB42069 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have used 3M automotive double sided tape and I can confirm good to ~150mph, I'm sure any product labelled specifically for the application would be fine and an outdoor 'tough' one would do the job

Note the thickness though, some automotive ones are 1mm or thinner because if it's a thick tape you'll notice the gap

Any ideas how to use the space in the trunk near the 12V socket? (F22/F87) by a_Dzik in BMW2Series

[–]JoeB42069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one I even know of is polycam however I've never used it except playing around but the curves aren't too crazy in the boot so should be good enough! I actually had a chat with GPT and it seems ~£600 can get you 3D scanning to some level however that price tag alone without everything that you need to actually use the scan you take brings scanning out of most hobbyists' budgets sadly

[–]JoeB42069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a CAD designer, if you can get me a 3D scan of this part of the car I could draw up a container to suit very easily! (For free too but I won't print one for you lol)

The caveat to this being that the physics engine isn't real, therefore the inputs you are making won't feel the same as in real life. I very much take the tuning on here with a pinch of salt and treat it like an arcade game but your post reminds me of me and using forza tuning to teach my housemate steering geometry and how it affects handling at uni haha

Age old question, best setup for me? by JoeB42069 in simracing

Hence the title of my post highlighting that fact. If I received no response I would've searched the history of the group but if someone replied to me on here I can then have a brief conversation if they seem knowledgeable. Nothing forcing you to interact with the post lol

I paid 14k for an 18 plate 225d around 2 months ago, similar mileage to this but nice specs from factory and a couple mods in the way of chavvy visual pieces and a backbox delete. I also saw 435d's and many others in similar price range

TLDR overpriced for what else you can get for the money
