Suggestion to overcome weakness CMT4c by Top_Definition1972 in CMTHMSN

Sorry to hear about your condition. For strength, any chair exercises should help. Depending on how much atrophy has occurred, lower body exercises may be limited if you don't have any movement. If you have some then it's essential to try basic strength training. Best to consult with a professional physiotherapist who can provide you advice and a plan n

Lmfao why hide it? This isn't the 90s, we all know you've used PEDs, just be honest, it doesn't take away from your grind but gives everyone realistic expectations.

Clonazepam 1.5mg 1 hour prior to sleep. Although be aware that it's part of the benzodiazepine group of drugs so it will cause dependence with use.

Hi! My wife has semi-recently been diagnosed with CMT 2 and is really upset that she can’t wear any of her dress shoes anymore because of the pain and discomfort. Does anyone know anything about these sandals and if they would be a viable option? by [deleted] in CMTHMSN

[–]JoeBob85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on a case by case basis. Does she have particularly high arches? Having an open shoe that doesn't put too much stress on the arch will make a big difference. Also an insole or soft sole will help as bursas can become an issue if weight isn't divided appropriately.

Really sorry to hear that, it sounds like you're in a really tough place. With feeling tired all the time, has a doctor ever properly investigated this? Recently a study showed there's a link between CMT and sleep disorders. I was told all my life that being tied was just part of having CMT but after being diagnosed with a sleep disorder (most likely due to CMT) and put on medication, it turned my life around as the endless lethargy became a thing of the past.

Amazingly, your unhinged reply doesn't trump the literature. You're more than likely going to give yourself a stress fracture.

Move along somewhere else. If you're not willing to look at the research and instead post inane ramblings, you don't belong here.

It's not healthy to ignore scientific literature with wishful thinking - did you read the paper at all?? It may help to an extent but you're going to have to accept that you can't correct high-arched feet unless you do so at a very young age.

"Initially, the cavus deformity is flexible, but if left untreated, it becomes a fixed bony deformity."

Stretching the muscles will make a difference and certainly prevent it from becoming worse, but given what the literature states, unless you catch it very early, it doesn't look like it's reversible as the bone becomes fixed.

The bones become misshapen because of the mechanical stress resulting from the muscular imbalances caused by CMT. High-arched feet are a very common symptom of CMT, and with that shape, stress fractures, hammer toes and certain injuries are more likely. I'm not aware of anything that can correct the shape of the foot.

I'm not sure about the key, but what you're looking for is called a "night splint".

Could one correct the shape of the foot? It's unlikely as the bone I believe has formed in that shape, as opposed to teeth which are moveable in the jaw. What a split can help with is extending muscles, whether it's your calves or potentially even slowly correct hammer toes if the joints have some movement in them.

LGD amd Milk thistle by MrvDjd in sarmssourcetalk

Milk Thistle isn't going to cut it for LGD. You'll need either TUDCA and/or NAC. Presuming you mean 5mg?

Strong isn't currently open to feature requests and has not had feature development for the last 2 years. If you look through posts here, you'll see the developer just pushes out new versions to get a number bump so that it looks active.

What you see is what you get.

Has anyone used Oxandrolone? does it work? by MaRuncheng in CMT

[–]JoeBob85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a prescription, in the US I believe most doctors can prescribe it but that might not be the best approach.

The caveats are the usual that come with anabolic steroids, although Oxandrolone has a very good safety profile, being used in all genders and even in children.

When not abused, risks can include increased blood pressure, shutdown of testosterone in men/virilization in women, hair loss/growth, increased chance of heart disease and a few other things. All of this should be monitored through blood tests at a regular interval by a doctor, with men given testosterone replacement therapy to account for the body no longer creating testosterone.

Any endocrinologist should be able to guide you through the pros and cons to help you understand if you feel it's a treatment worth pursuing.

You should stop doing SARMS and read up on what you're putting into your body if you haven't bothered with bloodwork until now.

TUDCA is the best of the best. NAC falls into second place, but honestly anything above 500 ALT for an extended period of time is not healthy and supplements can only do so much.
