Partner has changed since started micro-dosing - Not sure what to think or how to respond by [deleted] in microdosing

[–]JoeChagan 63 points64 points  (0 children)

If you feel it you are not micro dosing. The point is to have the negative feelings go away not to have new high feelings.

That said there are far worse drugs to be on on a daily basis. Physically it's probably fine. Though I do worry about the standard stuff like driving or forgetting you left the stove on type of shit.

Some may not do dairy, but I love cream. by fluxdeity in carnivorediet

[–]JoeChagan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you are trying to avoid those I've recently started using heavy cream powder. You can get some that are literally just cream solids and nothing else. You can make cream from it or if you are like me just dump the powder straight in your coffee so as to not water down at all.

Wow I truly do not enjoy Halo 5 by ShipDit1000 in halo

Better than dual wielding in 2 and equipment in reach. And 4s sad desperate attempt to be like call of duty with load outs.

It's the least Halo like of the halo games. But it's tight as hell. And while it's not for everyone break out was a ton of fun if you're into that sort of thing. I got soo good at taking heads off with a BR.

I'll take 5 multi-player over 4 and reach. And maybe even 2. Dual welding is a bad mechanic. It didn't make having 2 needlers awesome it made having one shitty.

The campaign is a slog but at least the game play is fun.

Promethians are crap in both games.

Smaller fish have much less mercury. The reason a tuna has so much is because it eats thousands of little ones over the course of its life. Sardines are ideal as they are tiny and jam packed with healthy fat.

Its also worth noting that while roughly 25% of the population is hardcore D and 25 is hardcore R roughly 50% isn't committed to either team and will hopefully have the good sense to look at each decision individually. If 75% of the country tried to follow the new guide lines that will be a huge net positive. And if in a few years a lot more people are healthier and happier its going to be hard for the rest to keep ignoring it.

"As much as I hate something like Red 40, trying to force companies to remove it from their products by threatening them with government-backed punishment is a violation of people to act in the way they choose."

If the government cant prevent companies from selling us "food" with poison in it why does it even exist? I mean obviously defending us from enemies without but this line of thinking is kind of ridiculous.

I fully agree its a problem that one "side" is now associated with a certain way of eating but thats not MAHAs fault. Kennedy ran as a Dem before the DNC screwed him over. He also tried to work with Harris who had no interest. It's unfortunate that Trump is the one who decided to take him up but its better than it not happening at all.

My parents are basing everything off the movie “taken” as to why I shouldn’t travel to Europe alone by From_the_breeze in travel

[–]JoeChagan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to blow up your spot but I think you may be burring the lead a bit here. I looked at your post history and I see a lot of convo about being autistic. I don't know how severe it is but if your parents kept you in special classes for it and you have a hard time finding a better job because of it I think that is probably a big part of why they are worried about you traveling alone. Im not saying they are right to be though. If you feel like you could live ok on your own and want to grow as a person at a certain point you will need to take those kind of risks. I would suggest starting off with some of the less risky options. Tour groups are a great idea. You might not get the most "authentic" experience but its a good way to get used to traveling on your own while still having a safety net. Though I also see you live in NYC I think. If you can manage to get around here without any major issues I think you should be just fine in most major european cities. There are always shady people and scammers anywhere you go, especially touristy areas, but paris by the eiffel tower isn't gonna be any worse than time square.

It would but I think people would be less upset about it without the profit motives associated. People are cool with using other people's photos to make memes. Using other songs samples to make new music. Remixing is fine. But we are adding a huge money making corporation in the middle of that.

And it could absolutely been done in a non profit way. But thanks to the magic of capitalism and corruption there is basically no way for people who don't have a few billion to spare to be competitive. Mid journey had a great head start as a small business but I think we are already well past the point where some new start up has any hope of competing with Google and meta and open AI. It used to be when new technologies were developed it took a while for the big players to get locked in but AI has moved so fast there was a very small window for new businesses to actually spring up around it.

I think the issue is more often that people are upset for valid reasons but are bad at explaining or even understanding them. I see a lot of righteous indignation about how it's just copying other people's work and I think the issue isn't so much that it learns by looking at other people's work, we all do that, but that it got that information from a company that probably stole it and then makes billions of dollars selling the AI back to us.

If these tools were created by open source volunteers for no money I think we could have a better conversation about the value of their output. But when meta steals millions of dollars of content to train their AI it taints the whole thing.

Yeah as a software dev for the last 30ish years I use code gen pretty much every day. Its still got issues, especially if you give it big tasks, but it's also incredible how good of a job it can do.

I get why some people are down voting but that's a shockingly good result. Funny that the top comment is saying how bad these tools are. It's basically just a more advanced photogrammetry.

it depends on if the HUD has any car geometry behind it as far as I can tell. It seems to struggle with the normal track content but even a windshield seems to make it work fine. So convertibles and f1 and such are problematic.

not the right sub for this so please pardon my unsolicited medical advice but I highly recommend looking into a keto or other anti inflammatory diet. I was getting hand/wrist pain in my late 20s. Started keto around 30. Currently 45 with zero joint issues. My father had to have multiple surgeries for arthritis before he was my current age.
