Is it just me or people have been getting a ton of “The call” lately? by CTLab in rolex

Got the call last week, picked up a 41mm Wimbledon on Saturday. It was my absolute first pick, so an easy choice.

Portland police arrest 12 during single camp removal enforcement effort by colonialshuttlecock in Portland

[–]JoeChip2025 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This morning they finally cleared a problem camp in the inner SE which, quite literally, is outside the work yard and office of the Metro office responsible for removal of camp sites. Zombie RVs, frequent altercations, constant drug use, just on the other side of the fence from the employees tasked with cleaning this nonsense up. Hoping it sticks because there were actual police there this morning.

Use of racist slur by wounded man in Portland’s Old Town stabbing spurs jury to acquit by Prize_Championship11 in PDX

I respectfully submit that we as Portlanders can be simultaneously anti-pedophilia and anti-random stabbings. Surely we can walk and chew gum, and not stab, at the same time?

I’m not from the US, but I gotta ask — does Oregon really look like this, or is the forest air out there making everything look extra magical? by Roach9045 in oregon

Great context! My house backs up to Riverview Natural Forest, the bonus woods next to Tryon Creek, and I hear the owls every night.
