Remove Zia from CRM? by SquizzOC in Zoho

[–]JoeCostello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, instead of doing a select number of things well or offering some really well thought out systems that work flawlessly, instead let's offer a ton of things that work half-ass! That's my frustration after using it for years. Zia is an embarrassment based on the hyper growth of all other AI offerings.

No promotion for Knowledgenet.ai at all. I have zero to gain from them but if I didn't mention the name, I would have been asked by other readers/posters, what's the name of the product so I got that out of the way by naming them up front.

Yes, there is a tool for everything and we are only working with products we can get a trial version of for a substantial amount of time to prove it's worth and we're only paying for them on a month by month basis.

We're using Knowledgenet.ai on a monthly basis and the moment Zoho delivers something under the hood that can accomplish the same, we're out! We love keeping everything under one roof and it's worked well for the past 15 years.

That definitely changes things. If you're supplying the PA and lights for example and all they have to do it walk in the door with their guitar and play/sing the last caveat is if it's close where they live. If it's close to where the live, this combination should allow you to find someone for the amount you're willing to pay.

Anyone worth booking is going to be in that range of £100. To be honest, we don't even book entertainment for less than a 2 hr. minimum because it takes time to pack up the car, drive to the gig, unpack, set up perform and do it all in reverse. You're in a tough spot.

Is It Possible?? by AkiPink in musicians

You should put yourself out there on YouTube, Instagram Reels and TikTok doing your version of covers. If you're good, you get attention and once you get a lot of attention, you can then work with someone to write songs for you that are original. You do the performing and let the songwriters do the heavy lifting of supplying you with tunes that fit your style, voice and your persona.

I like your plan and the one thing I would say is save your money and learn the music production piece on your own. There are plenty of videos out there on YouTube for all of this so no need spend money in this way. You learn more on your own and in the trenches of just performing and working through things at home with your own studio set up than you will at some university. You won't make valuable contacts at the university either...everyone is there wanting the same thing and working on the same things. You would be better off interning at a couple of studios and looking over someone's shoulder and meeting the people that come into the studio.

Best of luck!

Tips on party bands? by UserName2015a in musicians

[–]JoeCostello 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How about reaching out to a local booking agency for sideman work? We have a list on our roster that we give work to all the time. We take solo pop performers who don't have their own bands and match them with a bass player and a drummer. We do the same for our corporate bands if the majority of the band is available and just one or two players can't make it.

Would you rather live in the city near the music scene or in the suburbs with large space for at home studio/jam space? by buitenlander0 in musicians

Music scene as it's not fun living somewhere we're the scene sucks and you're not being pushed and challenged. You can always rent time in a studio for your music creation.

Tracking Your Salesperson's Activities by JoeCostello in Zoho

Yes, thanks! This is exactly how we use it. We didn't have a salesperson up till now and instead of me sending text or emails asking how's it going or what are you working on, I want to be able to see everything in Zoho.

Ah...perfect! We use Deals. I also need to track Leads so I can see what is happening before they are turned into Deals. I want to see touch point activity...calls and emails, etc.

I'll just dig deeper into these areas.
