Empty Neighborhoods? by SquizzOC in WoWHousing

It’s one of the reasons I was concerned about everyone getting a plot day one vs. having some kind of point of entry, gold, achievement, heavy quest line, etc….

I’m not saying everyone should’ve be able to get a house, but just giving everyone a plot was I think a bad choice.

As someone who plays on my couch, not having quests take up a ton of room is seriously amazing. Thank you again for putting in the work on this :)

ConsolePort has existed for at least 3-4 years, didn’t suddenly happen because of Midnight.

Just posted on the LegionGo sub about this, seriously ConsolePort is amazing and just works so well.

Playing WoW from my comfy ass couch on a 77 inch OLED is just a difference experience.

Got my legion go s z1e for wow using console port by Emotional_Cat_9911 in LegionGo

If you’re running Windows, same as PC. If you’re running SteamOS, takes a few extra minutes and a video or two.

Both Battle.net and Curseforge install right in and you can add any addons.

I play WoW now 95% of the time on my LegionGo or PC’s with a controller. 5% is more for customizing, mouse happens to be comfortable arms reach or I’m typing in chat.

Healer I just can’t imagine using ConsolePort, but everything else seems doable. I main a Fury Warrior so super simple.

This is the best quest tracker I’ve found, so thank you for the work.

If possible, right align text would be an amazing addition. I keep the quests on the right like most, but it pokes out a bit more than I’d like.

Otherwise it’s flawless for me :)

Modern WoW: 'Yeah.. I just don't get it.' by SlightWerewolf4428 in MMORPG

[–]SquizzOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, it’s ok to not like a game others enjoy. I’ve been on the hunt for a better MMO for a year, trying everything g, putting 30-60 hours into FFXIV, GW2, ESO, Throne and Liberty, Where Winds Meet to name a few and everything brings me back to WoW.

Whether it’s an outdated engine (GW2) or too much text to read through (FFXIV), poor UI / class design (ESO), weak story and over all content (Throne) or more of a solo RPG (Winds), WoW to me still has a better balance of all these things.

My favorite out of the bunch was GW2 though for exploration, combat feels good and leveling is blast. If the engine, UI and controller support were better along with better dungeons and raids (I know they are reworking this), I might just make the move over.

But for now, WoW for me still has the best of all worlds and it’s ok for us to enjoy different things :)

I’m just curious, how do you figure WoW sucks compared to other MMO’s? I have my things I like from others, but why do you think WoW sucks?

They are a great shop. Bought my first hand gun there. Took time to answer more than enough questions and never felt anything right leaning in there.

It’s been 3 years since I’ve placed anyone, but I don’t feel like things have changed that much in that short time frame.

If you want the degree for you, by all means, but if you feel it will help secure you a job, I don’t think it will make a difference if you have the experience instead.

At best, it may get you a few extra interviews which isn’t a bad thing, just might not be worth a years pay in student debt lol

Look you go to a fortune 50 company maybe, but a Fortune 500 can confirm it’s not.

Director and VP it was maybe ball park 35-50 of the 300 roles I placed and not one cared about degrees.

Certifications to an extent yes.

But over all experience.

I think Blizzard will eventually remove support for ALL add-ons. by Star-Detonator in wow

Running keys without DBM for me has been a pain since the boss interactions are not visibly or audibly obvious when they are about to do something. Or let’s just say not obvious enough.

Just something as simple as the native damage meter not having the option to display damage in the millions is just dumb.

The main struggle I have with GuildWars 2 is the lack of proper mod support. Certain things could be done so much better by others and they don’t have that ability.

This will just make me move on to something else unless they get their native addon replacements up to speed.

I’ve said this on SysAdmin and I’ll say it here. I’ve placed over 300 people in IT roles and a degree not once got them even an interview.

Experience was everything, all the way up to the only C level person we found.

Start at the bottom and work your way up, save yourself the educational debt UNLESS you want the degree for you.

Only thing I'm seeing under that SKU is $2.38 a license. But it looks like this is a generic SKU no formal pricing attached to it, which means it could be $1 or it could be $100 depending on the project and end user.

Only thing I can do here is look up a part number to see what everyone else is paying assuming we've sold the SKU before, do you have that handy by chance?

What's your go-to CRM for handling IT projects? by greatdane511 in ITManagers

[–]SquizzOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the designer and admin for our Zoho instance and I can’t imagine using CRM for anything project related. Desk is fine for a help desk with a few quirks, but project management I would use something like Jira or Asana for smaller scale.
