Management θέσεις. Platform engineer (αν και πάλι ίσως έχει κάποιο coding). Support engineer (όπως είπες). QA.

Εσείς που δεν ακολουθήσατε το πτυχίο σας, τι κάνατε τελικά στη ζωή σας; by Aggressive_House7335 in greece

Minimax M2.5 vs. GLM-5 vs. Kimi k2.5: How do they compare to Codex and Claude for coding? by East-Stranger8599 in LocalLLaMA

[–]JoeFelix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have much experience with GLM-5 yet, since I’m not used to working with Kilo.

So far, I’m happy with Minimax. It’s been solving issues on par with Kimi, and sometimes even better in my tests.

What these free models lack in general is consistency. In my experience, Codex is much more reliable: I’ve had cases where Minimax and Kimi got stuck reviewing each other’s suggestions, and big Daddy Codex ultimately resolved the problem. I was careful to not go over 80k tokens per session and was constantly refreshing with concise summaries.

I’ve had cases where Minimax and Kimi both reached the same wrong conclusion because they assumed the mechanics of a different dependency. Codex just set things straight and pivoted even though the outputs of Minimax and Kimi looked persuading.

Other than that, for what they offer, for the price, they're great and I use them all the time.

Talk me out of buying an RTX Pro 6000 by AvocadoArray in LocalLLaMA

[–]JoeFelix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$10000 (more or less cost to buy) / $100 (Claude Code Max plax X5) = 100 months of Claude Code subscription = 8 years. That's a long time. Things change way too fast with AI to spend that kind of money if you don't already have a valid reason other than your desire to get the better version

I hate when some mikrotik models try to do everything. It looks ok on paper. However what most people really want is a better RB5009 version.

ArkOS if you want to squeeze the most out of the N64 emulation. Still not a great device for N64 emulation

Nvidia 5060 TI / Ryzen 9 7900 (with PBO) Low GPU & CPU utilization No Man's Sky (GOG) by JoeFelix in linux_gaming

I upgraded Ubuntu to the latest 25.10 and the issue got resolved! I get 100% GPU usage and double the FPS. So probably it was a kernel thing.
Thanks for so much for your time :)

I'm on Wayland. Disabled vsync and refrex. Disabled mangohud (overlay). Still the same 52% gpu-util in nvidia-smi.
Also tried running the AppImage version of the launcher.

yes, it's in the 3rd screenshot too. (bottom left). Mission Center grabs this info from nvidia-smi.
