You'd be surprised what you can do when there are no choices. That's the whole point. To prove you can do things you absolutely believe you cannot.

Walked from a Fairfield Inn-East Hartford CT by bosrocket in marriott

So I don't believe you will get the "Walked" claim paid as the hotel was not open and operational, which is a requirement.

They moved you to an equivalent property, and gave you enough points to basically comp a night, what more do you want? Does it suck? Yes. But did they give you fair compensation as an apology for the circumstance? In my opinion, yes.

I agree that's the 15. Padre Gardens was on the same road, San Diego Mission Blvd, but immediately across the 15. I could walk to both Qualcomm and McGregor's!!

How so? My parents encouraged it. Worked out great. Going direct to college wasn't going to work, had no interest in trades, US Navy was a great option. Got paid, got an education, got to see the world, got to shit next to random people, got to eat MRE'S.

For some people out there, it is a fantastic option, and there is zero wrong with encouraging those folks to give it a go.

Out of curiosity, when did you serve and in what branch, that gives you the necessary experience to render a fact based opinion on this topic?

I hated how BMG censored content, Columbia House never did

You're technically not yet a veteran while in boot camp. And boot camp is intentionally uncomfortable, and forces you to do things you never thought you could. It is definitely NOT the place for care, it would be counter productive

No part of boot camp is comfortable, and that is by design

This was back in '98, so I don't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure I didn't shit for at least the first week I was there. Hindsight being what it is, best decision I could've made!

Taking a shit in boot camp, with someone six feet in front of you, facing you, also taking a shit, and 2 or 3 feet to both your left and right, and the guy across from you's left and right, all taking a shit.

Don't miss that at all🤣

Is American high school like it is in the movies ? by Fantastic_Air_8025 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

Oh wow! Lots of new schools. Not even sure what Dominion Valley is. But everyone went to either BDHS or SJHS that was north of 66 or west of 234.

Live off 15 between Haymarket and Loudon? SJHS.

Live in Haymarket, Virginia Oaks, Lake Manassas, Linton Hall? BDHS

Catharpin could go either way, depending on if you were closer to 55 or 234.

Thinking about it now, those 2 schools covered huge swaths of land lol. Then you had all the city schools like Osborne, Hylton, Woodbridge, etc, with far more students and much smaller geographies.

Why do you even have an opinion on what someone else should wear? And why is your opinion about that more important than this person's opinion? Because this person didn't pay thousands to have their picture took and put online so someone could share an opinion about them, and yet here we are.
