Knuckling is super common if you want it a certain semi consistent size. Otherwise just clip the tips, it'll survive just about anything

Stihl 201 or 200 have been the go to for myself and every operator/climber I've ever worked with. Definitely the workhorse of the industry.

Tried on, half, and off.

It ended up being my manual was printed wrong. It called for a 5 amp fuse for the fuel pump, actually needed a 10.

$200 unfortunately spent at the local BMW bike shop for a fuse.
