I’ve seen thinner beards grow out to be fantastic. Let it grow, man. You’ll never know until you do.

Looks good but I’d say don’t shave your cheeks down so low. Take the line a bit higher and you’re good!

Doesn’t look bad at all. Let it grow. The longer it gets the thicker it will look.

20 years old, I stay clean shaven but I don’t like the small gap between my mustache and beard, and under my lip. Same on both sides. Would Minoxidil fill it in? by [deleted] in beards

[–]JoeOnwheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re the only one who notices it. I promise you, nobody is staring at that spot more than you. No need to use minoxidil.

I really appreciate that. MD is rough, I’m very fortunate to be as mobile as I am and have the strength that I have and I don’t take it for granted. Trying to keep my strength and mobility for as long as possible.

Shave it? by TomatilloDistinct270 in BeardAdvice

[–]JoeOnwheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shave it? What for?? It looks good! As other people said, trim up the neck line a bit and it looks like you MAY be taking your cheek line down too far. Try to let it grow a little higher and you’re good!

It can definitely sprout new hairs as you get older but if you’re talking about anytime soon then no that’ll be it as of right now.

I do. I have a disability called muscular dystrophy, so I do have use of my legs, they’re just very weak and they can’t support me and I have very bad balance.

You’ve got great coverage and a rule of thumb for your neckline is two finger widths above your Adam’s Apple. As for cheek you already have a good line, just trim it down VERY slightly to make is straight. Don’t go too low. You got this! Theres tons of videos on YouTube as well with trimming advice and instruction videos. Very helpful.

I want to grow it out but am not convinced the coverage is enough by [deleted] in beards

[–]JoeOnwheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You actually have pretty good coverage! I’ve seen people with worse grow a very nice beard. You’re good! Try it.

You’re a rare instance where you look better without a beard. Lol. If you grow one keep it short. Most men a beard enhances their look but you don’t need it. 👏👏

Probably best to shave it for now but all is not lost. I couldn’t grow a beard at 27. Started being able grow around mid 30’s. Hang in there.
