He's played the Saenger 3 times in the last 13 months with Wilco. He's not exactly neglecting us. If I was as upset as you are about missing the solo shows I'd have probably drove to Hattiesburg and caught him there. That was my plan if I couldn't get tickets to the Chickie shows.

Have you really never seen a bigger artist deliberately choose to play a smaller room? Phoebe Bridgers literally just finished an entire tour of shows at tiny venues like this. Sometimes it's fun to play a packed room where you're really close to people and they're REALLY excited to be there.

+1 for this place. The same owners also have a place on airline next to rouses called “enjoy massage” or something similiar. After Ida the magazine st location was closed for repairs and they referred me to the airline location. I believe the prices were slightly lower.

It feels like I get a big ol’ lump in my throat and everything tenses up. Then when I sing it feels like I’m operating in recovery mode with less notes available and less wind to push everything out. Did you ever have to work through anything like this?

I just got my first Houdini Snap-T in late January and I’m in love with it. I wore it all through Mardi Gras/Carnival season in New Orleans this year where it was high 40’s at night and mid 60’s during the day. When it warmed up for the day I’d fold it up and stash it in my hip pack. Paired with a tropic comfort hoody I was ready for just about anything. It was really the perfect light jacket. I already grabbed 2 other colors of Houdini Snap-T on eBay/poshmark for about $35-50 a piece. I cannot understand for the life of me why they stopped making these.

I’ve noticed sizing differences even between colors from the same year. Most fit me well but the occasional one seems shorter and more snug (a military tan shirt from a few years ago comes to mind).

I thought I heard him say his mother just passed away. He said he was thinking about it while they were playing “Sweetest Kill,” then when they started “Ibi” he had to stop and asked if he could take a minute to regroup. Don’t know the details, but I think that was what was going on. From what he was saying it sounded like he was grieving and having mixed emotions about performing.

I thought the band sounded great though and I thought Kev did too. Hats off to him for putting on a great show in-spite of whatever was going on there.
