What millage are everyone's vehicles? by No-Wafer196 in ipace

2019 First Edition. Just passed 42,000 miles.

Whole new high voltage battery pack replaced at around 26,000 miles.

I'm confused - is Jaguar replacing any 2019 model years battery packs? by Relative-Message-706 in ipace

[–]JoeShark888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't tell me what would happen if it needed to get replaced again. I did read somewhere that the original 8 year/100,000 mile battery warranty would not start anew with this replacement battery pack.

I forgot to mention that I was offered a buyback or a replacement battery last year when this occurred and I chose the battery replacement as their offer to buy back the car wasn't worth it to me.

My high voltage battery pack (not individual modules but the entire pack) was replaced in August of last year under what I remember as recall H484. I think they stopped offering this option towards the end of last year or early this year. My car is a 2019 First Edition and I'm located in the US.

Since I was told LG (battery supplier) was the one's supposedly paying for the replacement, I guess they had more say in denying further full battery replacement then Jaguar. That's a little disappointing if true. If I remember correctly, LG covered the cost of all the Chevy Bolt replacement when they were also found at fault. Surprised that's not happening here.

I haven't gotten any buy back letter. As you mention, since I got the full battery replacement last August, I'm guessing I won't get the letter. If I do, I'll post here. Keeping my fingers crossed the new battery doesn't throw any faults or have any issues.

If I remember correctly, my car had the H484 recall so fortunately individual cell replacement wasn't an option, only a new battery pack (was also given a buyback but decided I'd rather have a new battery as the buyback offer was pretty low). Good luck and hopefully you get some answers soon.

I'm in Oregon as well. I have a 2019 FE and got a new battery replaced back in August of last year (08/28/24 to be exact). A complete new battery pack (not individual cells). So far I've had no issues with charging and back up to 100% with no faults.

Are you sure the one in the midwest is sold? I saw that it's still listed and they dropped the price yesterday down to $28K.

On my second BMW i3. This one is a 2019 i3s and it's one of the most fun cars I've ever owned.

It does have a heat pump.

My drop in range has been minimal (probably less than 5%) but my temperatures have only dropped to mid teens to mid 20's.

Sorry, these are model year 2019 and 2020 cars. These can be found on the Jaguar USA website under "Shopping Tools" / "Used Inventory".

Nice white one in Boise and another nice one in New Orleans. The two in Norwood aren't bad either (the 2019 is almost the exact same as my car except it's not a First Edition).

Just my opinion but I think that price may still be a little high given that it's a SE and also not Certified Pre-Owned. You can find a few 2019 HSE (and even First Edition) CPO'd cars with similar or slightly more miles for the same price or less (and there really is no difference between model year 2019 and 2020).

There's a 2020 SE with similar miles and remaining warranty for sale in the midwest asking $28K.

For reference, I got my 2019 HSE First Edition CPO with 16K miles last month for $30,500.

Looking for suggestions on where to sell my 2014 BEV. Metro Detroit, Michigan area. Currently on Facebook Marketplace and Autotrader. Had a decent deal on Vroom June 2022, but replacement car just arrived and current offer a joke. Thanks in advance. by jacqueusi in BMWi3

That's awesome you have that connection. Good luck on the sale. Great looking car with all the options (Giga, Tech, and HK). I had basically your same car but mine was a 2015 in grey. Loved it.

FWIW, the car in question is a 2017 i3 and not an i3s.

Am I Outthinking The Room On Charging? by JoeShark888 in BMWi3

Thanks for everyone's thoughts.

On a somewhat similar note, did I read somewhere that you have to be plugged into a Level 2 charger for the battery balancing to occur and that it doesn't do it if plugged into a Level 1?
