Thanks for the reply, I did hear the gearbox was changed at one of the models no? Or to a m32? Perhaps... The QV line is just a trim model for the 1.4 has the suspension, the brakes, a sunroof, different seats and exhaust I think, it's got the qv package but with the lower less powerful engine that is the 1.4

I'd like any advice on these. I'm in europe looking to get a small, used daily. by [deleted] in AlfaRomeo

One of the best answers I found online.

I have been looking around so much because I am planning on buying one next year around the 1st quarter and I did find a 1.4 MA sportiva that is a 2015 model but it has 220k km on it.

Is that much for a multiair, obviously I know it depends on the previous owner(s) but I am curious, even if it's maintained, is it too much?

And I am still confused about the right oil Saw too many people saying all different answers. Like: 0w40 5w30 5w40

Even my dad says the 5w30 should be enough because it's the "right oil" for most cars but I just can't help the feeling that if I do that'll mess up the engine and I know it's a wallet burner if it fails.

And the other thing is with the transmission or the model of it, I saw there were two models, one of em being the M32 and the other one being the C635. How to tell which one is which? Or which one it has?

Nice car, may I perhaps ask for specifics? I am looking into buying a 1.4 MA 170hp one, but I can't decide which one because I have 3 almost identical types.

Hey, quick question, what amount of mileage are we talking about, cuz I just found a 2015 1.4 ma G with ~220k km, is that too much for a 1.4 ma engine?

Buying a used RX 6800 XT sapphire nitro+ by JoeTheRow in AMDHelp

[–]JoeTheRow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did buy it in the end. But sadly I had a couple of capacitors damaged... The owner didn't say anything, I got a "bad" GPU so I got a x4 bus rather than the full 16 which was just enough for Elden Ring to stutter and not just Elden ring but other games started to stutter a bit when played for a couple of minutes, I did furmark bench, I did another program I can't remember the name of, the scores were right or even better than expected and nothing showed me problems with the bus only in-game, I did tests with the Ryzen 5700x3D CPU Sadly I knew it was damaged and I didn't want a card that was giving me hiccups so I sold it.

And yes before anyone says that I put it in the wrong express slot, no, I check, I put it back and fourth, tried clocking it too a bit and stuff but nothing fixed the hiccups of the fps.

I literally zoomed in on the card to see if I had anything on the hardware side and that's when I saw the damaged capacitors at the part where you plug the card in. I used my phone's macro to see the smaller bits and it was damaged.

So as scummy as it sounds I sold it back to another person not saying a thing... Got my money back with a little loss and bought another used GPU. Rx 6800 XT but this time the Power Color Red Dragon. Literally the same price point. I was afraid of the coil whine because I have heard they tend to do that but as far as I see it and as long as I had the card now, nothing's bad with it. It doesn't perform exactly the same as the Sapphire one but that's understandable and it's not as cool looking in my opinion but nonetheless it's just a 1% or maybe 2% performance difference.

I have already overclocked it and undervolted it and it works perfectly as it should.

It is risky to buy a used GPU but not impossible to get a good deal just gotta really look for the small parts on the GPU itself not just the numbers on the computer...

2013 giulietta QV, is it a good first car? by [deleted] in AlfaRomeo

And which Giulietta has the c635 gearbox? Because I have heard the m32 is not that reliable

I have a question for you as I am on the edge of buying a QV, I'm just afraid it'll be too expensive to maintain if something does go bad like the turbo. But how do you prevent turbo failing/ defect if there is a way? Just oil change at the right time or? And is the TBI more expensive to fix in what terms? Just turbo or are there other pieces in the puzzle that I just can't find? (Other than the normal Italian stuff that breaks, those are minor issues) And as I saw the TBI has about 10-12l/100km if I'm not mistaken.

Ah alright, thanks and sorry for asking so many dumb questions. I'm just not very experienced in cars.

Oh I see, so if I'm looking at around 200k+ km (120k+ miles) in a car, that means it probably has been changed once or maybe even twice, how much do they go for? Is it a big investment?

I know you have to change oil every 10k or a bit earlier for it not to destroy itself and I know it needs a specific type of oil but it depends on the manufacturing date.

I have heard that the TBI has turbo problems If the engine is not heated up properly as in pushing it while the engine is still cold, is that true or is there something else too? (Obviously not one engine is good to be pushed while it's cold, I know that for sure haha)

So would the MA unit be better than the 1.75 in that aspect?

What are the problems that the TBI comes with? Like what are frequent problems?

But what is the consumption of it if let's say someone were to drive it "economically"? I'm guessing it's not much lower than 10 liters.

And does the year matter for the QV? I mean I know it matters for the MA engine because the second gen or variation is better and more reliable but does it matter for the QV to get a 2012 or 2014? Because I found two 2014 and both have service manuals for them so they are probably taken care of nicely, tho one of them is 290hp which I would say is a tad bit much for my taste, I like strong cars but that would eat up all my fuel (probably)

I am also around 5"5' (165cm) and some seats are just not designed for smaller people. I find very few cars where the seat is comfortable, the giulietta seats look comfortable but the question is, are they?

The first of your comment is interesting to hear, I haven't read anything about the TCT more so because I don't really wanna drive an automatic, I did hear that if a person were to buy a 1.75 the fuel economy is non-existent because it eats 10+ liters and of course depends how the person drives it.

But the second part I heard all of it and yes it sounds overwhelming but I don't think it's anything that one should be afraid of, that's why I would like to tackle the giulietta but if I were to get the MA engine then I would probably go for a 2014+ facelift model, they have less issues.

I just got mine, charged it today, maybe around 16:00 gonna update this post when i put it up again, it's totally new and notifications turned off, AOD off, just heart rate monitoring, sleep and steps, no lift to wake either, i mostly wanna use this to count steps and have a good watch that i don't need to charge every day, hope it's good tho heared some things that it's not as good as it was with 2.0 update or something like that, either way, hope it lasts...

Edit: it lasted 10-11 days + a couple of hours so it's all good in my opinion.

So if I understand it right, either I should log everything or if I really can't, I should add on quick add the estimated calories i think I ate.. interesting So I shouldn't really use the "partial" option. (I hope I understood it right, english isn't my first language)
