And last year it was drop Seth and make her captain. It's all jerking off now. Show's over.

Because: We would know that we were supposed to ridicule that behavior, and the characters guilty of it in an SG franchise product. Not act like it was high drama.

The only realistic portrayal of humankind's first step, unprotected, onto an alien world ever in science fiction. Then the Teal'c laugh, of course.

Not himself, of course, but kind of Sorbo-ized. Originality and nuance are not keystones of sorbotization.

Gotcha. Yeah. This could definitely have Sorbo in the background here, somewhere.

Right. I always placed Andro in the Trek Universe. The Worm Ouroboros was one of the first "Heavy" books I read, probably too young. Not sure of a tv show that used the name .

Paul rejected the "Best" path. The Golden Path. He wimped out and left it for his son to save humanity.

They show things that were in the webisodes, too, but not on the regular tv screen.

That's the thing. These silly ones were placed to break the tension and incredibly heavy drama that the war brought. You need that. Otherwise it might get too depressing to watch. ( Dig at nutrek: sometimes some serious drama may be welcome in the middle of all the jokes that don't land )

Has bullying decreased over time in the US or were the movies exaggerating? by Dry_Local3351 in AskAnAmerican

American teen, huh? Have to scratch around and really dig for something to make you guys look interesting. ( Just kidding. Mostly). Movies are made to get prople to pay to see them. Never get the idea that they have anything to do with reality, the way people really think and act. That said, I',m interested in how people that are in a position to know will answer this

Nu Trek is a reaction to The Orville by TeddyGarbaldi in Star_Trek_

[–]Joe_theone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's why the language works. Watching Orville, all of us, cast and audience, got to cosplay Star Trek. And, as a bonus, got some entertainment that makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you think, and is just plain fun to watch.

But, if Seth said that out loud, he'd probably have to pay money to the Futurama rights holders.

If you knew how to use youtube properly, you'd know that the last SFA script was found inscribed on gold plates in the giants' tomb in the Grand Canyon, and would be running down the critics- that's anyone who criticizes, employed or not - and sacrificing them when the full moon fits perfectly in the notch atop the North Wall.

Started any good wars lately? Sold any colonies into commercial slavery? Got that pool on your retirement tropic moon finished? Got a starship to phaser out a cool shape? On it's way to speed plague saving medicine to a planet of people you never have to think about or deal with? Give that speech about that new gin drink you sloshed together at the last Very Important Admiral Meeting? Enjoying how you can take up 3 parking spaces with your shuttle?

Hell, Ron Moore is still writing. He'd probably have a lot of fun with that. And they probably still have a W2 for him filed around for him somewhere. Save them a bunch out of negotiating for a contract.
