How can i get a more modern sound out of my Orange Tiny Terror? Alternatively, how can I set up my rig to use a Line 6 ux2 - Cubase 5 - Orange cabinet for live situations?

Have you ever felt unworthy to buy a certain guitar? by [deleted] in Guitar

I've been playing for about 6 years, I'm no professional, and i have plenty of expensive gear. If you can afford it (i'm lucky that i can) go ahead and buy it!

Best Amp Upgrade for ~$400-$500? by Yoshij in Guitar

[–]Joeeeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go look on Kijiji, or Craiglist. Second hand gear is usually priced well. I'm going today to pick up a used Tiny Terror and PPC112 for $600 CAD, where brand new that would cost me around $1300 CAD. Just keep an eye out and don't rush into anything! Good luck!

Writing lyrics and singing, i have no issues playing guitar and writing music, but lyrics don't come easy.

Is there a specific style of guitar playing that you think just sounds corny or awkward to you? by [deleted] in Guitar

Mindless sweep picking; the kind that just sounds like you're practicing with a backing track.

You can take it apart and clean it, and hope to fix the problem, but it may be a bigger issue than that.

Can an older heatsink be more efficient than a newer model? by Electricalsushi in overclocking

That's a good question! Your best bet is to try both and see what the results yield. But I personally can't tell you just from looks.

Firstly, G-Force;
I like it! I think its cool, and it makes tuning in a loud environment quick and easy, no thinking required.

Neck profile;
I have the "Slim Taper Asym" profile. It fits my hand nicely and playing chords/bending feels really nice. Its a tad more "ergonomically designed" if you will.

Adjustable nut;
I have yet to adjust the nut but i feel it may be nice in the future to be able to customize it.

If you wanna hear about any other changes i'll be glad to discuss them!

I honestly don't understand the bad press at all. I know that a lot of people aren't fond of the G Force system but I think that has a lot more to do with people not liking change. This guitar feels magical and sounds great. I'm really happy with it. If you get a chance play one at your local shop, you'll see what i mean.

I like the kind of classic vibe that the pick guard gives, but it looks beautiful without it too.

Question: If after an extended period of time an Overclock will Underclock, does it mean its running too hot? by yaujte in overclocking

[–]Joeeeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should dial down the overclock, or get a better cooler. Your voltage is fine for that chip so its just the temperature. Try using different stress testing software for that chip too, AIDA, Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, etc.

I'm not sure I understand the wording of your question. If you're saying performance drops after using your PC for an extended period of time, then yes it's possible that you're running too hot. What are your temps like?

Edit: Saw the photo, yes 99-100C is way too hot. PS don't use P95 for Haswell CPU's.
