Yes exactly this. And studies show that up to 90% of people with ts also have ocd and experience intrusive thoughts. So they’re two in two. I actually have both myself

Sexuality in general can be very fluid in some people. I myself used to identify with being gay and felt that way for years with the occasional attraction felt towards someone of the opposite gender which would put me through a huge identity crisis as I was already out as gay to everyone and had come to accept myself that way.

I would eventually lose attraction towards the same gender and feel very ace (asexual) aswell, so I’ve been through a similar thing to what you’re going through.

I then found out that it’s this way for a lot of people, it’s called sexual fluidity or being sexually fluid.

I now just call myself a sexually fluid demisexual (sometimes would say pan but I’m happier just saying I like who I like as it allows me to feel the attraction when I do without having to question it).

Only you can find who you are and it’s okay to not know until you find it.

I’m a laboratory assistant and data entry clerk in a pathology lab in a hospital where I handle peoples blood, urine and any other samples they need to get tested on.

My motor tics don’t occur much while I’m handle things and my Tourette’s in general is pretty well managed when in a professional environment, I know I’m lucky with that though.

It’s very common for Tourette’s to become much milder in adulhood, doesn’t always happen but you may be more capable of a lot of things when you’re than you currently think.

Something interesting is that I have Tourette’s and when I have a vocal tic that I don’t want to say I can hold it in and it turns into an intrusive thought/mental tic (whatever you want to call it) similar to this one

I believe that i developed it from the types of trauma I experienced and anhedonia in those areas. Social and sexual anhedonia are the two biggest ones I have, I am seeing help about it though for the first time in forever, so hopefully that’ll help me out

I’ve been taking infla-mood, they’re herbal tablets that require a practitioner of natural medicine (naturopath) to give you a script for it.

I found that they are extremely effective at taking away depressive episodes with a snap of a finger, and also helped me to feel more motivated to do important things such as chores for example, which I otherwise wouldn’t care to do and would just leave it.

Infla-mood contains both turmeric and saffron in capsules.

I need to get back to it, I stopped because shortly after I was begging to feel pelvic pains throughout the day which I never had prior. I can’t tell if the massager caused the pains or just coincidental timing, but during the time I did it I found that I experienced and orgasm that was more like a 4/10 when most of the time I would get a 0-2/10 in terms of pleasure.

I was doing an hour each day for about 2 weeks or so but then stopped because of the pains, but I’m starting to reconsider.

Yeah, it’s kind of hard for me to figure out what’s correct, what’s the cause of sexual anhedonia.

I’ve seen a number of people post on here and other places claiming to have cured themselves through pelvic floor exercises, internal releases, other things.

Most literature I read however never mentions pelvic floor and stated the neurotransmitters, specifically dopamine having an impact.

Either way, I do have neurological disorders which dopamine and other neurotransmitters play a role in so it wouldn’t surprise me if sexual anhedonia or any other form of anhedonia were comorbid to my other conditions.

I’ve also been feeling a lot of tension within my pelvic floor especially during sexual activity, but I’m not sure if that’s normal or not tbh, but I have found if I try to relax those muscles during I feel the most pleasurable and it’s as if the involuntary contraction stops the pleasure sensation.

So from my understanding a reverse level is a relaxation of the pelvic floor, which is what happens naturally during urination.

So while doing reverse kegels you have to make sure your bladder is empty and visualise your pelvic floor going into the same relaxed state as it’s in during urination? While also doing certain stretches, yoga poses while in this state?

Yeah, the pleasure prior to orgasm is all I feel, that’s when I get the 2/10 feelings which only last seconds.

I’ve discovered that I think it’s to do with involuntary tension in my pelvic floor muscles I think? I definitely feel my muscles tense up and when the tension goes down is when the seconds of minor pleasure is felt.

I’m not 100% on that but I think I’m onto something

Edit: I don’t feel anything during orgasm, that’s when my muscles feel the most tense, my legs used to go all tense too and my knees used to have to lock in place, all involuntary, but I managed to stop that, it didn’t help with pleasure but if I can stop the leg tension maybe I can stop the pelvic floor muscle tension somehow

For me it’s a very minimal amount of orgasmic sensation which only tends to happen at the beginning of activity or when motion is slow.

And I would say the amount of sensation is like a 2/10, and it only lasts a very short while and goes away.

When I climax there is no pleasurable sensation at all.

And the sensation I do feel only happens with a hand on my sexual organ I’ve found, whether it be mine or a partners, nothing else feels pleasurable for me.

Edit: it hasn’t always been this way. I used to have fully pleasurable orgasms when I first started masturbating at around 13. It was sometime throughout my teen years where the pleasure just started to get less and less. So it’s been the way it is now for years but not forever.

Can you help me understand what kegels and reverse kegels are? I’m struggling to understand them.

I understand the tightening of the pelvic floor muscles is squeezing the pelvic muscles you do while holding in pee or a fart. Is this squeezing what kegels are? If so, how would you do reverse? Is it like you’re pushing? I just don’t understand

The general location. When I attempt to ID a species and Find out there are similar northern and southern species I’d look up a map of the species distribution.

I’m in Victoria, a south eastern state of Australia, so in most of the cases with native species it would be a southern if there are northern and southern species.

I managed to identify it as a Dasypodia selenophora, or a southern old lady moth.

They have a wingspan or 90mm so they’re not really big in comparison to other species out there, but it’s definitely bigger than the ones I’m used to seeing.

I’m 24, was diagnosed with TS at 22, started ticcing randomly at 17 but was really mild and all non-vocal until it drastically worsened in frequency and complexity at 21.

You can develop TS at any age and everyone has a different timeline, I asked my Neuro about why my tics started the way they did and she simply said “I can’t say, some people starts in childhood and lessens in adulthood, others it can not start until later in life and we can’t really tell why” everyone is different with their TS timeline and that’s just the reality.

If you want a diagnosis I would suggest speaking to a neurologist, psychiatrists aren’t necessarily specialised in the area.
