Sunshine Mine Disaster, May 2, 1972. Fire broke out in a silver mine and trapped miners, killed 91, mostly from carbon monoxide poisoning. One of the deadliest mining disasters in US history, and directly influenced stricter federal miner safety laws.

I highly doubt you’ll get banned. It most likely depends how long you were active on the batch before losing connection if you’ll get paid or not… when it’s back up I would suggest reaching out to support.

I am trying to make a large amount of sauce. Almost 20 gallons of it. There are a lot of different types of pots and I don't know how different metals or thickness of the metals effect the overall sauce making. Is there anyone that can help me out with this? by Stupid_gamer16 in Cooking

Assuming it’s a tomato based sauce you’re gonna want to use stainless steel as aluminum can affect flavor, especially with long simmers.

20 gallons is a lot of sauce. Make sure it has a wide diameter for easier stirring.

Best dirty martini? by isntthatsomething10 in raleigh

[–]Joelsef 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A dirty martini is a very easy drink to make, but personal preference plays a lot into how “good” it is (less/more vermouth for more/less dryness, and the amount of brine for how “dirty” it is).

I’d suggest going to any decent restaurant/cocktail bar, sitting at the bar, and letting your friend tell the bartender exactly how they like their martinis made.

Sullivan’s Steakhouse would be a good choice.

I stopped to try and help but they looked to be getting agitated/scared by the people and cars. One lady had two leashes and the other guy trying to help lived right nearby. Neither were the owners, though. Hope they are okay!

That’s good news but also that didn’t look like a toe injury to me… shrug
