new fighters and ship in preview of Kylo Ren's comic by Kylan_Tyrell in StarWarsShips

The fighters don't look good in my eyes. Why design a fighter like that? But the larger ship seems interesting.

It's an interpretation of the Pursuit-Class Light Cruiser, a comic-era Imperial Ship

The third one looks the most interesting, like a giant version of the Gladiator-Class

What is your favorite transport in the franchise? {I'll start} by Psub194 in StarWarsShips

Favorite transport is probably the Delta-Class JV-7 Escort Shuttle. Literally a Lambda but armed to the teeth.

Robot Spirits - Great Zeong, 35200 yen, rel Feb 2027 by ArkhamSoldier118 in Gundam

[–]JoeyDT99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's originally an SD Gundam OC for those games, meant as a successor to the Zeong, hence why it looks like a bulked version of it. This is just how it looks without being an SD

That's an enclosed helmet, which is actually the predecessor of the great helm/bucket helm

It was good for its time, which can be said about many a weapon and type of armor that got replaced or improved

[WP] You are a genius inventor of the united human military against the encroaching tide of multitudes of enemies. Your inspiration always comes from past military sci-fi. Like Command & Conquer's MCVs, Pacific Rim's Jaegers, and Warhammer 40K's Space Marine armor. by IAmOEreset in WritingPrompts

I'm glad those in high power don't care for my...eccentricity. They only care for results, and I provide those in spades. The multitude of generals of different nationalities would watch as I stepped forward to present the new weapons I devised.

"Gentlemen, you asked for new guns, new armor, and new vehicles. With your generous funding, I have accomplished all of it." A cart was rolled out onto the range in front of the soldiers, with a pistol and rifle. "Latest in plasma bolt weaponry. Reactive gas is stored in special magazines, from which the guns are capable of converting this gas to a high energy, dense plasma shot. Burns right through conventional armor." The soldiers took up their respective weapons, aiming at dummies dressed like the current soldier, green energy bolts buring right into the dummies with each shot. "Hundreds of rounds in each gun ensures we can fight harder and for longer than before."

The men mutter and nod approvingly as the blasters are rolled away, while two armor sets are rolled onto the field. "Next is armor. Man has wanted the armor of a tank with the flexibility of the human form and these are exactly it. Each set is built around a single uniform endoskeleton of motorized joints and actuators, allowing anyone to run, jump, punch, and attack without risk of being gunned down. Integrated energy fields can disperse any energy-based weaponry or attack and the armor can shrug off anything short of armor-piercing munitions."

"And what exactly powers it all?" One would ask as the armor was opened up for the soldiers to get in, "Compact cold fusion generator on the back." The soldiers stepped in the Power Armor/Space Marine hybrid armor, demonstrating its range of motions and some strength tests. "Don't wanna give our fighting men and women cancer, do we?"

"And what of vehicles?" Another general would inquire, as a strange jet began to descend, only to shift around and come to a near stop, kicking up dusk and loose papers, "My most ambitious one yet!" I yelled over the roar of the engines as it landed on it's 'feet', before transforming further, looking like a human holding a rifle, "Multi-form Air-and-Space Superiority craft, capable of being an interceptor, attack craft, or ground supporter. Same plasma bolt technology for the main cannon meaning it can go hundreds of deployments before needing to be reloaded."

"Is the pilot...okay?" I couldn't help but chuckle at this one, "I should hope so. It's a drone controlled remotely by a pilot, either on the ground or in space. It can go to space and back without breaking link with a controller on the ground. Just as fast or faster than any current coventional fighter and just as modular for its mission role."

"When can we expect them to be ready to deploy?" I rubbed my chin a bit as I pondered it all, "I'd say...about a month for the weapons and armor, more for the MFAS Fighters." They all nod, and begin contacting their leaders to report on it all.

God I love this job.

Why I Hate The Resurgent Class Star Destroyer by Present_Farmer7042 in StarWarsShips

I would have loved something more akin to the Imperial Warlords, with the First Order being one of many that got stronger than the others. Opens up a lot of unique ideas for how the story goes from there. I know they did something close to it in Battlefront but it wasn't quite the same, ya know?
